Happy 25th Anniversary Fractal Forest! You truly are the most beautiful place on earth and I am so honoured to play on that stage! Year 2 playing was a complete success! This year was a far more technical set with a lot of genre jumping. I really wanted to create an experience that would capture how diverse the rave scene is here on the Canadian west coast. We really are a one of a kind festival scene here and I love it 🥰 This set is stacked with all kinds of goodies. Including……. A brand new remix, from Freddy J and myself, of Silver Screen (Shower Scene) by Felix Da House Cat. It’s an old school track that we have always loved and we are so happy we finally got to debut it in the Fractal Forest 🌲🎶

Jason Brown is Qdup, and has been making dance floors groove and butts move worldwide for over a decade. Now residing in Los Angeles, CA the Wasington DC area native brings DC Funk vibes along with West Coast Festival Sensibility to the dance floor. Qdup broke out as a DJ on North America’s festival scene from 20012-17 including memorable sets at Shambhala Music Festival (BC, Canada), Firefly Fest (DE, USA), Art Outside (TX, USA), Gathering of the Vibes (Ct, USA), BassCoast (Merritt, Canada), Boogaloo (CA, USA) and P.E.X. (MD, USA). Late 2015 to 2016 saw Qdup join forces with longtime collaborator and label mate Steve Raskin of Fort Knox Five in a steady string of gigs performing their unique Four Deck Set. They’ve had a busy schedule with tours up on both coasts of the states, Colorado and Montana & have frequented Canada’s west coast BC and Alberta. Their touring included a festival run with Canadian favorite’s Shambhala (Salmo, Canada) & BassCoast (Merrit, Canada) and adding events like Sonic Bloom (CO), Northern Nights (CA, USA) and Burning Man (NV, USA). 
When not on tour, Qdup has played regularly at DC hot spots like Eighteenth Street Lounge, U-Street Music hall and Tropicalia where he along with Fort Knox Five have held their residency “Sao Funky” for 4 years. Qdup has also made the official promotional mix tapes for The DC Funk Parade 3 years running, further solidifying himself as one of DC’s most sought after party rockers. Since relocated to Los Angeles, Qdup has continued this trend frequently playing at some of LA’s best underground warehouse and festival venues.

For American-born live performer and producer Conoley Ospovat, music is something deeply personal - a means of expressing and sharing the most heartfelt of emotions.  Hypnotic techno performances that are entirely self-produced and improvised take the listener on journeys through sound and emotion, texture and feeling. With his longest live set to date clocking in at close to 10 hours, these musical journeys weave together the variety of styles that comprise his vast and growing catalogue of original material.

Drawing from a diverse range of influences including techno, house, early electronica, synthpop, post-punk, jazz, and improvisational jam bands, Conoley creates uplifting dance music that is an interpretation of the world in sound. From hardware synthesizers and drum machines to ethnic acoustic instruments, field recordings and chopped-up audio to guitars and vocals; Conoley brings a finely-honed musical sense to his productions and performances based on more than 25 years in the studio and on stage.

He has performed live across America, Asia, and Europe.  He has supported the Wighnomy Brothers, John Tejada, Guillaume and the Coutu Dumonts, Extrawelt, and Los Hermanos. He has shared bills with Move D, Pier Bucci, Robag Wruhme, Gerald Mitchell, DJ Nobu, Modern Deep Left Quartet, and Marc Schneider.

Conoley has recently released on Otake Records, Cervidea Recordings, Kimochi Sound, Blankhaus, Teorema, and Continental Drift Records.

Ospovat co-founded Continental Drift Records with c_olvrin in 2009. He is currently based in Lincoln, Nebraska USA.
