I composed "Dark Skyline Brighter Dawn" for Piano Day 2023. The piano is the Fracture Sounds Woodchester piano. The strings are from #SpitfireAudio. The pictures in the art work are from an unfinished painting of my father's from the early 70s.

I used LA Scoring Strings Sordino Divisi to create a Chamber Strings sound. Fracture Sounds Spotlight Piano and Hemisphere (for the pad!!!) I also used Quartarone Guitar Reveries that play some light fills.

Hi everyone! I wrote this latest track using only sample libraries from Fracture Sounds. I hope you enjoy it!

Reminiscence

The latest episode in my everlasting non-stop-series "songs that absolutely nobody asked for". :P

Tried out the free Blueprint Drum Kit (for Kontakt) by Fracture Sounds. Adjustment possibilities are quite limited, but if you need really good sounding analog drums "out of the box" you should give it a try! ;)

What else... there's some chimes, a really nice nylon guitar solo, some strings, some choir, some (rather old) vocals by Amy Kirkpatrick.

Not much more to say... like it, but that doesn't mean much, I guess. Maybe I'll do some more finetuning, maybe I won't.

I needed some calming down after a stressful day. I just sat today and recorded this in 2 hours. While playing, I remembered Barry, the little hero of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", playing the glockenspiel... I invite You and Your inner child on a journey between the stars.

Humanity as a child of the Universe. First, it discover the "music" of the Universe within itself, it try to "play" it as best as it can, not being aware of the existence of the universe. Then it begins to "hear", notice the music of the Cosmos, get to know it. It is doing it better and better, but still, like a child, it "plays" clumsily, sometimes too loudly, sometimes harmoniously. Will it harmonize with it or will it disappear?

I hope you like this track at least a little bit. I made it thanks to four, free,  wonderful Fracture Sounds @fracture-sounds instruments from the Blueprint series: Gentle Brass, Gentle Strings, Textural Violin and main hero - Greenhead Chimes.

The track "Eldenvale" was created entirely using the "Compendium: Eldenvale - Fantasy Toolkit" library by Fracture Sounds. When I first heard these samples, I immediately knew I wanted to compose a piece in an Irish style. It's an excellent library that requires virtually no additional processing. All the sounds are polished and perfectly suited for composing, offering great flexibility for building an ethnic instrumental foundation. Many thanks to the creators.

INFO: Middle aged music maker (and recreational drummer) from the middle of Franconian nowhere arranging music for open minded music lovers who (like me) don't want to listen to the same (kind of) music all/every day - way too boring (or even annoying).

So you'll find all kinds of stuff here, from Space Jazz to Hip Hop, from Synthpop to Triphop, from Folk to Doom, from here to there, from then to now, and many things in between - except for "pure" EDM / Techno / Trance, not my cup of tea. :P 

Many tracks tend towards "alternative pop". Well, if you don't like a song/genre - just skip it! I won't mind...  ;)

P.S.: Before you ask: I (almost) never start with the vocals, asking myself: what strange things could I make with those?

Instead I start making strange music THEN look for some vocal parts that might fit. You'd be surprised how often you get a "match" the moment you throw those in the mix. Well, sometimes it needs a little tweaking... ;)
