It should be noted that this is less of an album to stand on it's own and more of a documentation of the process creating the debut album, Songs For A Martyr. But with that being said, I do believe the material here can stand on it's own and be comparable to the debut while maintaining a separate though relative appearance. Here is a compilation of material recorded from nowhere, Washington in the time leading up to recording the debut album Songs For A Martyr. Most of the songs here are malformations of the final material on the album.

August is the solo project of August Eliason (b.August 18, 1998). Based out of Anacortes, Washington; August's influences range from philosophy to nature and all of the extremity that comes with: vastness, hypnotism, and contrast.

August's debut album Songs For A Martyr was written as a series of improvisations built into songs in the studio and this often becomes the case for August's songwriting which is mostly a process of starting with one thing and then building everything else in the recording process.

He often recruits collaborators from all around and his live shows often are unique in their separation from one another. Sometimes having different lineups in the band even only one show apart.
