After an incredible experience in 2023 at my first festival set, I had the opportunity to follow Bass Panda this year with a midnight Friday time slot. The pressure was on with the huge crowd he pulled, but I was ready. Thanks to everyone for making me feel like a rock star for a night, keeping the place bumping at Disco Dreamland. Big ups to Wax Theory and Work Party for the sick boiler room setup with PK bass! It felt intimate super intimate for the artists and was memorable af for everyone involved.

I was psyched to be invited back to play at Freezer Burn Decomp this year. Everyone was looking amazing -- the ocean theme was definitely on full display. I found a setlist that would fit the vibe, with flowy, shimmery, tropical, cold and deep influences. It was a fcking blast watching everyone dance their faces off, and honestly it was nice opening for a change, to enjoy the rest of the night with no responsibilities. Always great catching up with the Freezer Burn crew! Helluva night, thanks to everyone for coming out.

Since first lockdown, the creation (on average) of about 2 to 8 songs a week with very few breaks through a unique process resembling poetic musical scrabble along with classic standard recording has become a one of a kind process.

Kathartiik got his start playing to 3 dozen friends on the top deck of a houseboating on the Shuswap, with one goal in mind - - all bangers.  Since then, he has explored what drives him and developed a unique flow of lyrical wordplay and storytelling that exposes those feelings we can't quite describe, sharing his emotional journey through a genre-fluid mix of divinely inspired off-beat house, bass, DnB and anything else that reveals itself to him.

With a natural ear for (often dischordant) harmony and a background in vocals, piano, alto sax, guitar and drums, Kathartiik draws on those skills to build a complex sound that caters to the high vibrational crowd. He builds you up and takes you down and is always along for the ride.
