Originally from West Africa (229), Yannick P moved to the U.S. over 20 years ago, bringing with him a deep passion for music that started back home.
Growing up, he was heavily influenced by U.S. hip hop legends like 2Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z, and Snoop Dogg, while being part of a small rap group in his early years.

Though life and priorities took him down different paths, Yannick P never stopped writing, creating, and staying connected to the evolution of the rap game.
Blending inspiration from his African roots with the sound and spirit of American hip hop, he developed a style that’s both global and personal.

After more than two decades of writing behind the scenes, he finally steps into the light with his debut EP, I.A.D.T. (“It’s About Damn Time”) — a project that embodies resilience, passion, and a long-overdue dream finally realized.
