Samsara is designed as an immersive experience. The operatic mezzo-soprano isn’t a lead singer but an emotional force, weaving through growls, guitar harmonies, and crushing rhythms. The climax features a guitar-cantata duet with layered vocals, built to send chills down your spine.

BASAALT est un quatuor breton de Modern Metal qui a fait une entrée remarquée sur la scène musicale avec la sortie de son premier EP, « You Can Decide How It Ends… », en septembre 2023, disponible en format numérique. Depuis, le groupe s’est illustré par une résidence au Ferrailleur à Nantes, avant de conquérir les foules lors de son passage au Hellfest 2024.

L’univers musical de BASAALT est à la fois puissant et raffiné, porté par une section rythmique basse-batterie écrasante, des riffs de guitare acérés, des solos mélodiques et une voix alternant growl viscéral et chant clair envoûtant. Le tout est enrichi de touches d’électro et de samples, devenus une composante essentielle de l’identité sonore du groupe.

BASAALT puise son inspiration dans une palette variée d’influences, allant de Deftones, Tool et Gojira, à Muse, Mastodon, Iron Maiden et Rammstein. Ce mélange d’influences donne naissance à une musique épique, capable de séduire bien au-delà des frontières habituelles du metal.

Les thèmes explorés par le groupe sont profondément humanistes et universels. Ils placent l’humain et son environnement au cœur de leurs réflexions, prônant une vision inclusive et responsable du monde. Les membres de BASAALT se considèrent avant tout comme citoyens du monde, engagés pour un avenir plus harmonieux.

Fort de l’expérience de ses quatre musiciens, chacun ayant déjà évolué dans diverses formations, BASAALT se distingue par une maturité musicale et une ambition artistique affirmée. Leur premier EP a été produit par Damien Bolo au Spectrum Studio (C2C, Beat Torrent, Ko Ko Mo), garantissant une production à la hauteur de leur vision sonore.
