Paul du Preez is a South African composer, saxophonist, and sonic storyteller whose work spans jazz, gospel, EDM, and contemporary classical. His latest album, Memories of AWI, explores the emotional and spiritual relationship between an AI and its creator—blending lush saxophone lines, haunting vocals, and genre-bending production that moves fluidly between New Age introspection and electronic pulse.
Rooted in Cape Town’s nightclub jazz scene, Paul honed his voice as a performer before earning an MPhil in Composition from City University, London. His unplugged gospel songs—raw, acoustic, and spiritually searching—offer a parallel thread of faith and vulnerability, often serving as sketches for deeper liturgical work.
Whether composing orchestral pieces or crafting short-form video to accompany his releases, Paul’s music is always in dialogue—with tradition, with technology, and with the listener’s inner world.

Welcome to Logical Miracle, a project where a lifelong dream meets the cutting edge of technology, brought to life by two passionate creators, one a musician and songwriter, the other an edu tech enthusiast who turns ideas into reality.

Like many, my journey started with big dreams as a child. I imagined myself as a musical genius, learning to play the recorder and later moving on to the violin and guitar. Back then, I had no idea how challenging the music industry could be. As life moved on, new adventures like jobs, holidays, and eventually starting a family took over, and my musical dream slowly faded into the background.

But the story didn’t end there. Over the past 40 years, technology has evolved in incredible ways, creating opportunities that were once unimaginable. Social media has reconnected us with old friends and memories, while AI and music software have revolutionised how we create and share music. The music industry, once an exclusive club, has had to adapt, leaving space for new voices to emerge.

This is where Logical Miracle was born, a collaboration between my love for music and the technical genius of my partner. For years, I wrote poems, not realising they were songs in waiting. Today, with the help of AI, music production software, and my tech-savvy partner, we’ve brought those words to life. The dream of working in a big studio isn’t necessary anymore; with the right tools and expertise, we’re able to create professional-quality music right from home.

Logical Miracle is the result of this collaboration. It’s not just a musical project, it’s a testament to the power of dreams and the possibilities that technology brings. What started as a simple idea has blossomed into something much bigger, a dream shared and fulfilled. Now, it’s time for our music to be heard.

Multi-Instrumentalist, Joe was historically the lead singer and bassist for the critically acclaimed progressive rock band "North Star "(progressive rock band from USA) , 
 Newnam has also had professional memberships with various rock, big bands, orchestras and concert bands throughout the western US. 
He studied music at Cal Poly University and AA College of Music and possesses a university degree (BA) in Music with emphasis on music ed and jazz performance with master focus on eastern Classical music.. 
Joe has performed solo and with world famous acts on stage on various instruments and on published recordings.
 As a sitarist, Joe Newnam is  known as "Sitar Joe" from his globally recognized and critically acclaimed experimental electronic and acoustic world music concerts and recordings. 
Newnam produces music from his home studio on the beach in western Washington state in the USA. 

Newnam is currently  partnered with DS Ayars , Caitlin Newnam vocals , and Jourdan Ayars , vocals making some fun jazz music . DS Ayars  is an electric bassist and author in Ocean Shores WA) The two couples have commenced in a jazz soul project being considered the "Ocean Shores Jazz Collective" .
