Frump is the psytrance project of Travis Savage, spending his youth growing up between country Victoria and W.A. He was introduced to the rave scene by a group of long-time friends and shifted into the local psy scene shortly after.

DJing under the alias of “Savotage”, Trav moved into production a few years later and the Frump project was born. Before this jump Trav had little knowledge in using computers but with some persistence and being mechanically minded he delved deep into Logic and started to slowly build his own environments, which has given him his distinct sound and direction with his music.

Playing at festivals such as Subsonic, Esoteric, Earthcore, Yemaya and headlining events in Portugal and all over Australia, the Frump sound is a lumpy and tough concoction of rolling basslines, broken synth leads and off the wall samples, with his music influences coming from the likes of Scorb, Artifakt, RAM, Tristan Boyle among others. You can catch Frump’s unique live performances, throughout Melbourne, country Victoria and beyond representing the Fool Proof crew, so tune in and Frump out!

Born and raised all my life in the great state of Kentucky. My mama loved the place so much, she decided to name me after it: Kentucky Pride Frumpkin. But my friends call me "Tuck" for short. And as God and Freedom wouldn't have it any other way, I came in to this world on the 4th of July, 1984. 

A troubled upbringing, but I always stood up for what was right. But when I kept finding myself in trouble with the law, I was sure I'd never get out. Until one day, a family member of mine handed me a 6-string guitar and told me I might as well learn to make music instead of always  making trouble for myself. And that's exactly what I did.

Since that day, I was determined to be the unstoppable force that I am today, and destined to be the honky-tonk hero behind this country music revolution.

With a voice that could make an angel cry and a swagger that cannot be tamed, I'm here to do 2 things: chew gum, and conquer the country music universe. And I'm all out of gum.
