Mix Two

Fractured Heights

Been really enjoying expanding the sonic lately, and took this mix as an opportunity to continue doing that.  I’ve sprinkled in some breakbeat in my sets over the years, but this is 1.5 hours of strictly spacey breaks goodness.  Some true gems in here of varied textures, generally slowed down to the tempos that I tend to play in.  When I first immersed myself in electronic music in the late 90’s-early 00’s my main love was jungle and atmospheric DnB, bookended by heavy rotations of quality hip-hop.  This is probably the first mix I’ve posted where those influences can be heard underpinning the sound.  Hope you enjoy the journey, and planning to be back in February with a set of silky cuts in time for Valentine’s Day <3

This split release between Frustrated Funk and Indulge Records sees FF head honcho Klen Ovatow reconnecting with Indulge's Oliver Kapp, a link that was established all the way back in the mid/late 90s. Celebrating with a remastered version of Kapp's Piston Rings (ME-01), one of the tracks that kickstarted the Indulge imprint in 1996. The heat has arrived on Madrid’s city streets and to combat it WE FORFEIT have gathered together two hours of sizzling electronics to up the ante.
Ryan James Ford takes centre stage on this show with four of his tracks in the mix. Serious talent and one we’ll be after in the future, I’m sure. 
Crème Organization is well represented this month with the some beauts care of Iv/An, Fabio Monesi and TX Connect.
