This is the song that started it all. The mission statement. "The Magnetic Brain" is my title track, an experimental funk jam that inspired the name of the band itself.

Recorded live in Portugal in 2023, this performance is a tribute to the genius of Hermeto Pascoal and a showcase of our core concept: using a MIDI guitar to perform a universe of sounds—Rhodes, bass, synths, trombone—without a single traditional guitar tone.

We took on the challenge to create a funk song - and maybe even a whole album about family. With "Should've Stayed (A Little Longer)", we're pushing beyond our usual style. But the truth is, making music is always rewarding, whatever the genre may be!

This show is an instrumental journey through the two core energies of The Magnetic Brain Band: the heavy, psychedelic funk inspired by Funkadelic, and the vast, atmospheric voyages of space rock and jazz fusion inspired by Pink Floyd and Herbie Hancock.
