As the 90's rave scene began to form, Belgium set the foundation for the Hardcore Rave sound. They pushed for a sample heavy approach, coating their tracks with vocal splices and choppy stab leads. The influence this genre had on Breaks created a short lived infectious, bass-line driven sound - referred to as 'Funky Breaks' or 'Funky Hardcore' in the early West Coast California rave scene overseas. Hip Hop vocals were commonly layered atop the instrumentals.

When the Eternal Rush Ceremony begins, fleets of crystal-plated ships ignite their engines in perfect harmony with the hardcore 160-BPM pulse rising from the planet below.
