As the 90's rave scene began to form, Belgium set the foundation for the Hardcore Rave sound. They pushed for a sample heavy approach, coating their tracks with vocal splices and choppy stab leads. The influence this genre had on Breaks created a short lived infectious, bass-line driven sound - referred to as 'Funky Breaks' or 'Funky Hardcore' in the early West Coast California rave scene overseas. Hip Hop vocals were commonly layered atop the instrumentals.

Dancers ascend in anti-gravity orbs as beams of chromatic light synchronize to the music, creating an unstoppable tidal wave of euphoria that surges around the planet like a living aurora. Every drop sends the crowd higher, every snare roll opens a new portal of color.

Probably the inventor of the term "Violent Lo-Fi". Meaning the older "Lofi-esque" style of digital hardcore breakbeat soundtracks. Imagine artists/bands like Ec8or (Eradicator) and Christoph De Babalon (a lot of DHR falls into this category lol).
