DVPT - You Make Me Feel

Not long ago I wrote a song that took me back to my teenage years. It's called "Gata", and it’s about those stories you think will never happen… but somehow, they do. Just for a moment. Like when you like someone from a distance, and suddenly there's a spark. But it doesn't last. She vanishes as quickly as she appeared—like a cat running through the night, gone before you can react.

The song is built on a sample from Queen’s Cool Cat, which I’ve always liked for its laid-back and classy vibe. That gave me the idea for a steady guitar groove, something that mirrors that heartbeat when you see someone who stuns you.

The lyrics talk about that feeling—watching her move, the way she draws you in. She's always just out of reach. And when you think maybe she’ll stay… she’s already gone. The chorus brings that energy of chasing her, and the bridge captures that short moment where it feels like it could be something, even though you know it won’t last.

“Gata” is a mix of funk and a simple story—about those short, intense connections that leave you with more questions than answers. But at least you get a song out of it.

Biography :

End of the year 90, beginning of the year 2000, France manages to attract the international press thanks to a bunch of young particularly inspired electro producers which are to release federator tubes. Inspired by house music, while drawing its roots in funk and disco music, it gives birth to many callings : a new generation of kids who know their Cassius, their Daft Punk, and their Alan Braxe by heart.
 
Frenchman Thony Ritz takes history where these glorious elders left it. 
Based in Vernon, as a teenager he discovers the filtered house music and the samples of this movement, and sees them as a true revelation. 
Influenced by funk music, disco music and Jean Michel Jarre, he has listened to since his childhood, he produces his first pieces at the age of 10 with a binary synthetizer and records his first tracks on Amiga trying to imitate the author of Oxygene. 
His beginning as a DJ in the Parisian region at the age of 18 (where he gets venues by daring to propose his services in nightclubs) confirms his instinct...the dancefloor is his calling. 

The revolution of myspace will play in his favour. Hundreds of thousands of sights will enable him to make the buzz on house music forums. Discovered on the platform by "My Major Company", he joins the participative label which will offer him a chance. In February 2009, he indeed reaches the 70.000 euros thanks to 952 producers who believe in him. He impose himself as the first electro artist produced by crowdfunding system.

 Consecration of work! After a well noticed maxi single (appropriately named “High Future”), Thony releases his first album "Night City". Mixing the French touch’s hedonism of the first period (Crydamoure, the Knight Club) with saturated sounds of the second wave (Ed Banger, Kitsuné), he succeeds to reconcile the popular mainstream techno beats and the more underground and aesthetic electro sounds of the 80′s.

Graduated from Abbey Road Institutes Paris in 2019, he spent this year learning in one of the biggest studios in France and working on his new album.

Like many, my journey started with big dreams as a child. I imagined myself as a musical genius, learning to play the recorder and later moving on to the violin and guitar. Back then, I had no idea how challenging the music industry could be. As life moved on, new adventures like jobs, holidays, and eventually starting a family took over, and my musical dream slowly faded into the background.

But the story didn’t end there. Over the past 40 years, technology has evolved in incredible ways, creating opportunities that were once unimaginable. Social media has reconnected us with old friends and memories, while AI and music software have revolutionised how we create and share music. The music industry, once an exclusive club, has had to adapt, leaving space for new voices to emerge.

This is where Logical Miracle was born, a collaboration between my love for music and the technical genius of my partner. For years, I wrote poems, not realising they were songs in waiting. Today, with the help of AI, music production software, and my tech-savvy partner, we’ve brought those words to life. The dream of working in a big studio isn’t necessary anymore; with the right tools and expertise, we’re able to create professional-quality music right from home.

Logical Miracle is the result of this collaboration. It’s not just a musical project, it’s a testament to the power of dreams and the possibilities that technology brings. What started as a simple idea has blossomed into something much bigger, a dream shared and fulfilled. Now, it’s time for our music to be heard.

🎵 Music has been a part of my life since early childhood. Inspired by my father, I started playing the accordion at a young age and soon discovered my love for composing. Encouraged by my teacher, I attended music school for several years, which helped deepen my understanding of melody and harmony.

As a teenager, I began writing my own songs and taught myself to play the piano – driven by passion and curiosity rather than formal rules.

Over the years, I’ve drawn inspiration from a wide range of genres: pop, rock, soul, funk, but also classical, Latin, and folk music. I never limited myself to just one style – for me, music is about emotion, connection, and expression, not categories.

For a long time, I lacked the technical equipment to bring my ideas to life. But now, with every beat, chord, and lyric, I’m finally sharing my musical world with you.

Sammi Dae is the creative alias of Luke Carter, a UK-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who is rewriting the rulebook on music creation, performance, and presentation in the digital age.

At a time when the music industry is hyper-focused on youth, visuals, and algorithms, Carter—now in his 50s—is innovating from a place of deep experience and enduring passion.
