xiangyu first met her future manager, Yasutomoto Funakanga, in 2012 while studying at Bunka Fashion College. Though she initially declined his suggestion to pursue music, she eventually agreed five years later. I am a Boston, MA-based jazz/rock keyboardist and bassist with a passion for creating rich, layered cover song recordings in my home studio.

In my recordings, I bring every part of a song to life, performing all keyboard lines, strings, pads, marimba, glockenspiel, and celesta, while also laying down the bass on many of my tracks. By blending technical precision with multi-instrumental creativity, I reinterpret cover tunes in fresh, expressive ways, giving each song a unique voice.
