It’s been a month of loadsa music. 
A few weeks back, we were lucky enough to share the booth with the always excellent Neud Photo. Robbie hopped on the train and made it by the skin of his teeth to Luv Bar where the pair served some a cocktail of electro, new beat and even some italo. In this month’s show we’ve some tracks that were in the bag for Barcelona, but time said otherwise. Gems from Aleksi Perälä, Jared Wilson, Featherstone and Obsolete Music Technology are just a handful them. Thanks to both Nico and Luv Bar for making it happen.
Rendez-vous abound in this episode, meetings with ArD2 in Granada (alongside fights with record store owners, dancing in The Hague at the IFM festival with a great gang, all of these interactions are charted through tracks by Heinrich Mueller, Tandy Ogmo and Body Power.
A veritable glut of new music is included in this month’s show, tracks from far and wide. Homegrown talents features prominently. 22 Recordings are here with three tracks of new beat scented chicanery and Valencia’s Fill-Ex and Soil with the haunting Grendel version of Beastial Mouth’s “In Ruins.” . Pearls of The Netherlands’ house and techno scene of the 90s are dusted down, Anacalypto Records doing the heavy lifting with a fantastic compilation with two tracks selected.

your Mind works - 073: Progressive Club Set

This is a big moment and marks a shift in my creative focus with my djing and music.  

This set was is a tribute to  my eldest son who left on 2nd September to start a new chapter in his life and who I miss already.  

It's also. a dedication to the talents of Sasha & Digweed who I have admired for over 30 years.  

I planned its composition and flow in an effort to take listeners on a melodic odyssey over 90 minutes.  

It's not filled with bangers but ebbs and flows with ethereal melodies and rhythmic basslines that I hope listeners can immerse themselves in.  

It's my first effort at 4 deck mixing which was challenging.  It's not perfect by any means:  I got lost with so much gonig on and the transitions are two long in places and the timing off in parts. 

Overall, I'm happy enough with it to share it with the world for everyone's enjoyment.

Some house and houseish 12-inches from this year, many that I brought back from a summer vacation trip and just some that have popped up as great songs from the past. This is a very energetic and bumpy mix, sample heavy, but with a feelgood vibe. Less thinking, more dancing and throwing all this together. This set was originally planned to be performed at Interstellar Groove Festival 2024, but sadly, life got in the way and I had to cancel on the gig at the last minute. Having spent so much time amassing the music, piecing the set together and rehearsing it, I felt the pull to finalise things and close out the chapter. So after some time to breathe, I sat down and recorded it in one live take, as was planned for the stage at IGF.

I made the switch to digital djing and bought a Traktor S2 in 2016 - what an eye-opener that was. The scene had transformed from the heddy days of flicking through vinyl at record shops on a lazy Saturday afternoon to an overwhelming torrent of new artists, new sounds and sick tunes!  

I now live in the tropical heat of Singapore but can't forget the bustling streets of London and epic Friday nights with my favourite people at clubs like The Cross, Turnmills,, The End and Fabric or festivals like Tribal Gathering, Homelands and Creamfields.  

My mixes are my way of keeping those unforgettable nights alive and connecting with like minded folks around the world!
