i PROMISE this is the last time i remix this song 😭
i consider this my definitive flip of postcard, it has elements from all of my previous versions!! but i started this before my last trip to Japan, and after seeing Yokohama for the first time it really reinforced the want to make this version!! i had some very special memories with some very special people, so to finally go full circle i decided to close my loop of postcard by making what is my favourite version yet!! i started with this sample, and to close the chapters of the last 5(ish) years of old kisaki, it's fitting that i close it with the same one :) that is NOT me retiring this project by any means, but i'm feeling a lot more ambitious these days and the time i just spent in Japan has made me want to try more new things musically. i'm not leaving future funk either, but i'm going to push my own boundaries of what i can do and make and sometimes it may stray away a little 😥 but to celebrate the second kisaki renaissance, let's both stay tuned for what i have in store, cause i really don't even know yet 😭💙 dedicating this to my wonderful friends in Japan!!! xo 💙🇯🇵🗾🇯🇵💙 -k

realized i've never posted this, but this was THE first ever attempt at future funk i ever did, which is why i love Postcard from Paris so much 😭 i specifically remember making this during my tail end of high school, drunk off of a bottle of absolut peach in ableton live 8 lite, and i don't think in that moment i ever would have realized that there were people out there who would listen to and enjoy my music like you guys have :') thank you all for the last 5 years and hope to see you around for the years to come!! -k💙
