A classically trained orchestra string bassist from eleven years of age, Amos Larkins transitioned to the electric bass to practice the Jazz/ Fusion Rock genre he so admired as a teenager. A natural talent, Amos was fortunate to have studied with the legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius and world-renowned pianist Chick Corea. Amos has participated in workshops with Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Billy Cobham, Jean-Luc Ponty, Al Di Meola, and countless others. From the age of sixteen, he became a studio bassist at the Miami Sound Machine and T.K. Records studios in Miami, where he also learned the art of sound engineering and worked on many sessions as an engineer. While producing music for the ill-fated movie “Cry of the City,” he met Barry Gibb of Bee Gees fame. Gibb allowed Larkins to moonlight at his Middle Ear Recording Studios, and it was there that Amos produced some of the first (if not the first) hip-hop music to be heard in Miami. He took the hip-hop work he had produced at Gibb’s studio and played it for Henry Stone, the legendary music mogul and founder of the highly successful T.K. Records label. Stone had just formed a new record company named Sunnyview Records. After listening to this new, ground-breaking style of Miami Rap music production, Henry told Larkins that he could make lots of money producing this type of music. Amos soon began working as a staff producer under Stone at Sunnyview. This is where Amos came up with and developed the Miami Bass genre that continues to inform and influence hip-hop and rap music to this day. Widely known today as the progenitor of the Miami Bass movement, Amos Larkins II is one of the only producers from that golden age who has never slowed down, continually producing music that is ahead of the curve since he first walked into a studio decades ago. That undying passion is entirely on display with his latest offering, aptly titled Amos Larkins Presents Electro Miami Bass Future Classics.

Track produced using the Maschine Mk2, with the rest of the instrumental recorded live. We used baritone sax, regular saxophone, and recorder. We wanted to maintain the essence of 90s rap beats but without using samples, opting instead for real instruments to achieve a more organic texture. This was the concept for the entire album. Many Brazilian influences were blended with modern beats.

This jackin' Psycho Thrill Cologne club set-snippet (59 mins) from the d2000 magazine "In A World Of Compromise Some DJs Don't!" 2002-club tour together with Roland Casper and Derrick Thompson aka DRIVETRAIN. Featuring 21 Vinyl Tracks by Umek, The Eternals, DJ Skull/ Ron Maney, Slam (2 / remixed by Christian Smith & John Selway), Johannes Heil (remixed by DJ Hell), Woody McBride/ DJ ESP, DJ Funk (2), Planet Gong, Green Velvet (2), Lil' Louis, "The Unkown Editor", Plastikman/ Richie Hawtin, DBX, Rocket (remixed by Dave Clarke) and Vitalic.

All-n-all at the end that kind of result that happens when U head like hell east from Cologne on the motorway after a never-ending day of editorial work for your magazine back in the day. And where U arrive at the club's Power Hour. And U have to go straight without a break to the turntables. Because there is no time for some nice chilling in after that rough 5-hour drive in a heavy snowstorm for a second's rest. Cause U have to keep it movin' at once when your crowd says "GO!". 

In the end, the only thing that helped was the heavy power of the ultra-phat Techno bass drum from the club's very fine sound system and nothing else. So our peeps got 90 minutes of serious Techno from every Psycho Thrill DJ on a peak time level, without mercy but more than fair on the dance floor. The only unanswered question at the end of that night and to this day: Where the hell is Christine Schneider ... an insider lol !?? And that remarkable side-effect that the local promoter handed us an indefinable white label. With the express request that I (!) should play it in my set. 

"So of course I did him the favor. Even if I was rather reluctant inside because I already knew what was in store for me. Because this record was definitely not what normally fits the Psycho Thrill sound profile. Instead, it was something between EU pop trash and that contemporary Bpitch-SoffyO-Kompakt-Pseudo-Techno of the time. However, the record did get an incredibly euphoric reaction from the audience, especially from the crowd of its producer. But I found the whole thing rather embarrassing. And I was glad when I could fade out "the thing" (42:16 - 45:06) in my set again between Lil' Louis' "Jupiter" and Plastikman's "Spastik". But the strange thing struck back to me years later, when my then 14-year-old son played me Ian Rooth feat. Frenchy "Will U Be Mine" on YouTube. And I immediately recognized this promo vinyl from 2002 based on the hook line/melody it contained. Who stole it from whom sampled it, and edited it between 2002 and 2018 ... who knows?" 

"But "that thing" sounded as inappropriate as shit to me then as it does now. But I don't apologize for it. I "did it". And this mix is ​​still an authentic Psycho Thrill Cologne Sound document to this day. Essential Media Group LLC. is a South Florida based record label specializing in multiple genres encompassing all eras of Folk, Blues, Jazz, Classical, World, Rock, R&B and Pop including current Hip Hop, Dancehall, Reggaeton and Dance/Electronic Music.

Nibriell is the pseudonym under which I sign my musical and literary works. I was born in Romania, a beautiful country in Eastern Europe, but I also live in the UK. For personal reasons and symbolism, the pseudonym is inspired by the names Saint Nicholas (Ni) and Archangel Gabriel (briell). 

     As for my musical activity, I do not define myself through traditional terms such as artist, musician, or composer, but rather as a music creator. This term is much more suitable for my musical activity. I have only one regret: not being born with the talent to sing or possess a musical voice. 

     However, my passions for music and literature have been cultivated with interest throughout my life. With the advent of AI in our lives, it has been very successful in producing high-quality vocalizations, which instantly encouraged me to start creating melodies. 

     Therefore, in my creative workshop, DAW software, music editing, and AI technology are the tools through which I express my vision. By using AI to generate the distinctive voice of my pieces and recreate the sounds specific to traditional or archaic instruments, I bring to life the stories I present to you. 

     My entire creation, from one end to the other, tries to tell a story, whatever it may be. From myths and legends worldwide to stories I create, they are dressed in melodies and harmonies that exceed language and culture, touching a universal chord of human emotion. With each composition, my goal is to open a window to imaginary worlds, inviting the listener to explore ancestral myths, personal narratives, or those already existing worldwide. 

     Using a mix of modern sounds and traditional elements, I aim to create a bridge between the past and the present, between the real and the fantastic, offering the listener an auditory experience and an emotional and spiritual journey.

     So, Nibriell is the pseudonym that unites all these creative sides and expresses the desire to create and the belief that art, in all its forms, is a vehicle for understanding, compassion, and connection among people, regardless of their origins or borders. This is the path I have chosen to follow, one in which every note and word contributes to creating a more extensive work of all humanity, an ode to the beauty and complexity of life.

     Although AI plays an essential and decisive role in my work, it does not define its direction or quality at all. I entirely write the texts and melodic lines, and the voice generated by it is the product of my strict vision and supervision.

I performed my first DJ gig in a Coventry nightclub in 1984 and still playing as I approach SIXTY years old!  Always influenced by melodies and harmonies and love EDM.  

There is nothing like the vibe you get from playing the right music at the right time at a gig.  That moment of connection can range from uplifting to euphoric.  

It’s one thing doing that with a track that they know but on a whole different level if do it with a new track to them.

PSYCHO THRILL Cologne-founder and former NETWORK PRESS / CUT / d2000 magazine editor CLAUS BACHOR. One of the German long-term House and Techno DJs at all, and as friends in Detroit say "he's been doing this as long as anybody else that we know! His sets can range from classic Disco & old school House classics all the way to the darkest, bangin' techno that you've ever heard!" However, he's not standing still yet: The Psycho Thrill club and vinyl label run by him has just turned 29 and Bachor is still doing bookings all over Europe, the United States and beyond.

His long-term affiliations with Detroit Techno music and also his journalistic involvement with the topic of Detroit Techno/ Electro/ Chicago-House as an author/editor over the years has made him a world renowned expert. This experience and vast knowledge of the techno genre has led him to appearing in many documentaries, the most noteable being 'High Tech Soul' [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0DocslQ4lE ] which focused on the creation of Detroit techno music. Other film credits include being involved in the highly acclaimed 'We Call it Techno' [ https://vimeo.com/showcase/4518357/video/207023599 ] documentary which focused on Germany's early techno scene and club culture.

Without using the usual hype for trends, he has managed to gain a position as multi-​commun​icator in the German Techno and House scene, in which he is always convincing as a DJ. With "backinthadayz" Bachor goes back here to his musical roots which where deeply influenced by afro-american friends who where working at the US embassy in Bonn or taking service as GIs at US military basis in the Frankfurt/Rhein-Main and Nuernberg area in the early seventies.
