Sure, it's easy to look out at the Universe and take stock of what we find. Although spiral and elliptical galaxies house the majority of the Universe's stars, represented locally by galaxies like Andromeda and our own Milky Way, the overwhelming majority of galaxies are much smaller and lower in mass than we and our cousins are. These low-mass galaxies, the dwarf galaxies in the Universe, represent upwards of 97% of all the galaxies that exist.

However, while most of the dwarf galaxies we know of are found as satellites around larger, more massive galaxies, they aren't good laboratories for helping us understand the Universe as it was long ago. Back during the first few billion years of cosmic history, it wasn't just dwarf galaxies that formed the majority of starlight in the cosmos, but isolated dwarf galaxies: dwarf galaxies that hadn't yet interacted with larger neighbors.

We can best understand those early-stage galaxies by studying their late-time analogues: isolated dwarf galaxies in the Universe today. On this edition of the Starts With A Bang podcast, I sit down with Dr. Catherine (Cat) Fielder, and we talk about some of the nearest, most isolated galaxies of all: including some that have been imaged with flagship-quality telescopes. ''Smoking Peace Pipes in Sacred Places'' - Always Rejoice 888

"Magnetron Hearts” is a slow, cinematic ballad where science meets emotion — a love song written in the language of physics. Blending piano, strings, and luminous synths in D minor, the track moves at a tender 75 bpm, evoking the rhythm of hearts caught in orbit.

The story begins in a quiet library at twilight, where two minds meet like charged particles. Their connection feels both inevitable and precise, described through poetic scientific imagery: “Every touch a theorem, every sigh a proof.” As the music swells, the pair discovers that devotion can be both measured and infinite.

Anbid Zaman is a queer activist and artist whose work rises from a life marked by displacement, resistance, and the insistence on living fully even when the world tries to deny that possibility. Born in Bangladesh and shaped by grassroots queer organizing from a young age, they grew into their voice through community struggle — learning early that courage isn’t an act, but a daily discipline.

Their journey from danger to refuge transformed them without erasing their origins. Living in Germany, Anbid continues to work at the intersections of identity, migration, and liberation, supporting queer people who face violence and navigating the complexities of chosen family, safety, and belonging. Their activism is guided by deep commitments: justice without compromise, solidarity across borders, and an unshakeable belief that marginalised voices should be heard not with pity, but with respect.

These values spill directly into their music. Anbid’s sound blends testimonial storytelling, emotional minimalism, and atmospheric layers shaped by memory — the quiet of hiding, the noise of protest, the ache of leaving, the thrill of surviving. Tinkering with music production after almost 15 years not playing music. 

Once upon a time I could play 13 or so instruments fluently. 

Main instruments were Bass Clarinet and Barry Sax.

Loved EDM from the moment I first heard it. One of the first albums I listened to was 9pm by ATB… i was 10 years old. I made it a goal to see ATB in the future and challenged my older cousin (who introduced me to it) that I would see him. I went myself and It was one of my most memorable shows. 

I love trance of most sub-genres, I have always been in love with true Electro, I enjoy house, DnB, Melodic Dubstep, Bass and really a bit of everything.. as my liked list shows. 

I have three trance songs I am working on. It is a 3 part set. Goodbye to Gravity Pt I, Pt II and Pt III. Please leave your feedback.
