Here is a movie made from fantastic original high quality photos from outer space of galaxies and nebulae by Lars "Zinken" Sundqvist (ZinkTech) combined with original spacial electric violin & synt-pad instrumental music. The music is written, played and mixed by me, Stefan Granqvist.

I hope the photos and the music speaks for itself. Please use a 4K TV and a really good sound system or head phones, if you want to be able to see and hear this in full quality. The low synt bass notes require a good sound system. I hope you like it.I hope you like it. 

Background:
My friend Lars showed me his night photos of the sky, shot from a balcony with a good telescope & good camera. Exposure time 3-5 hours, the telescope is fixed to the pole star. Wow. I said to Lars: ”Maybe those photos could be combined with some music of mine, I make some videos with photo backgrounds”. This is the result.

After assembling nearly 300 tracks, I trimmed the playlist down to 70-80 tracks with a final cut of 40 tracks in almost 3 h 00. It's music you can sleep to, work at the same time or study, with a keen emphasis on calm and soothing atmospheres & soundscapes. Sure, it's easy to look out at the Universe and take stock of what we find. Although spiral and elliptical galaxies house the majority of the Universe's stars, represented locally by galaxies like Andromeda and our own Milky Way, the overwhelming majority of galaxies are much smaller and lower in mass than we and our cousins are. These low-mass galaxies, the dwarf galaxies in the Universe, represent upwards of 97% of all the galaxies that exist.

However, while most of the dwarf galaxies we know of are found as satellites around larger, more massive galaxies, they aren't good laboratories for helping us understand the Universe as it was long ago. Back during the first few billion years of cosmic history, it wasn't just dwarf galaxies that formed the majority of starlight in the cosmos, but isolated dwarf galaxies: dwarf galaxies that hadn't yet interacted with larger neighbors.

We can best understand those early-stage galaxies by studying their late-time analogues: isolated dwarf galaxies in the Universe today. On this edition of the Starts With A Bang podcast, I sit down with Dr. Catherine (Cat) Fielder, and we talk about some of the nearest, most isolated galaxies of all: including some that have been imaged with flagship-quality telescopes. I have played violin all my life and have now decided to release some of the music I have written through my life. Back in the 70's I took my first steps playing an amplified acoustic violin in a blues & jazz band. I put a mic on my acoustic violin and experimented with guitar effects, for example chorus, overdrive and wah-wah.

Nowadays I play several electric violins as well as my old acoustic friend. I am passionate about mixing styles and mastering many kinds of music: Rock violin, Folk Music, Country, Irish Music, Jazz, Django Jazz, Singer-Songwriter etc. That is why I call one of my albums "Violin Diversity".

In my music I combine my professional experiences as a computer engineer with analog and digital instruments. On my albums I play acoustic & electric guitar, bass, some organ and percussion, as well as programming the drum machines. Occasionally I also do some singing.

I love creativity and playing things in a way they have never been played before. I also do some performances now and then. I play in pub gigs, churches, accompanying choir singers.
