The Orem game was the most disappointing of them all as American Fork led 20-6 at the half but lost 32-26.A year ago, American Fork dominated Lehi en route to the 62-28 victory on its way to the Region 3 title. Lehi finished tied for third in region, with both teams eventually advancing to the semifinals.

Only 15,000 years ago, all of what is now Canada and the top portion of the United State was covered in a giant continential glacier called the Laurentide Ice Sheet. As time passed, the advance and retreat of this ice sheet created the Great Lakes.
One night during the polar vortex of 2018, I stood at the blisteringly cold short of Lake Michigan's Bradford Beach, in Milwaukee. I imagined the glacier itself, towering a mile above me. Right in front of me was the actual frozen lake, iced over mid-tide. The past and present were merged. I felt incredibly alive, standing on a part of glacial and geographic history.
The music represents the advance and retreat of the ice sheet; a funky rondo!

The piece was commissioned by the GVSU New Music Ensemble, for the Lake Michigan Project.

In May 2024, I spent seven full days on the Kahiltna Glacier and at Denali Basecamp. Denali is the tallest mountain in North America. We'll cover my time during the Denali Prep Course and how my T1D body reacted to life on the glacier.

Here, amidst the endless white and the howl of the Antarctic wind, we’re crafting a revolutionary sound: music infused with frigid frequencies designed to cool the world’s smartphones and devices.

As the icy air seeps into our bones, we experiment with sonic waves that vibrate at sub-zero temperatures. Each note reverberates with the chill of the frozen landscape, creating a mysterious blend of sound and science. Legend has it that our melodies can drop the temperature of a device by several degrees, offering a refreshing escape from the heat of modern life.

But whispers of the station's secrets linger in the air—tales of the ancient ice and the spirits that guard it. Will our music connect the world, or awaken something better left undisturbed? As we dive deeper into the soundscape, we find ourselves caught between innovation and the unknown, navigating not just the icy terrain, but the chilling echoes of our own creation.
