Hello again, friends 👋 

Last week I lost my best friend, my cat Jasper. He was a spiritual being that more often than not taught me lessons I didn't know I needed. Jasper passed suddenly at 8 years old, while I was away on a solo vacation. The pain was, and is, devastating. Not being able to be with him, or understand what caused his death, has weighed on my heart 💔

Music has always been my best therapy. This new mix is designed after the five stages of grief. It opens with a four-song quartet and closes with a two-song couplet. Each contains the same song twice as a nod to circular thoughts that happen within loss. The songs in between flow from denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. 

This is my poem, my ode, to my little fur guardian. I love you Jasper, my friend 🐈‍⬛️

"I was woken up in the morning 11 september 2018 from a phone call from my mother. But it wasn't her, it was the emergency staff speaking. My little brother, who I had helped raise since he was born when I was 15,5 and my mother survived a massive stroke two months after his birth, was dead. 
-What, how? From what? How did he die? Are you sure? how can he be dead?
-We don't know yet. He died in his bed while sleeping. 
Its been 6 years and we still don't know the cause of death for my 14,5 year old little brother who slept safe in his bed to never wake up again. 
This song was written in 2018 and wasn't really meant to be about the freedom I hope he felt when he died, but I couldn't think of anything else. I needed processing and I needed to feel hope. And my beautiful bandmates accepted that and helped me translate my feelings into this song. Christmas is coming up and it's a time where the missing feels so much stronger. This song is finally ready, we and I am finally ready to release it. We hope it will give others comfort as it has given me comfort. I know my brother would be so proud if he can help others from beyond this dimension" //Ingis - singer

Former biathlon Olympic champion Laura Dahlmeier has died on 28th July 2025 while climbing in the Karakorum. A rockfall hit her at high altitude at Laila Peak while she was on the road with her rope partner. Rescue operations were greatly complicated by the dangerous situation.

This tune was supposed to be published with another title and with vocals. It was not finished yet, neither was the life of Laura.
