Η Λιάνα, δασκάλα γιόγκα, πρώην καθηγήτρια γαλλικών, μιλά για τον σκύλο οδηγό Πόλο που απέκτησε από τη Σχολή σκύλων οδηγών τυφλών Λάρα το 2023. Γιατί δεν συγκρίνονται οι διαδρομές μαζί του με εκείνες που έκανε όταν κυκλοφορούσε με λευκό μπαστούνι; Και γιατί παρομοιάζει με σλάλομ, τη μετακίνηση μαζί του, μέσα σε μια πόλη γεμάτη εμπόδια; Η Λιάνα μοιράζεται στιγμές με τον Πόλο, ενώ δεν παραλείπει να αναφερθεί και στην ιστορία της Σχολής σκύλων οδηγών τυφλών Λάρα. Τέλος, αναφέρεται στην αξία της αναδοχής που είναι η φιλοξενία και ανατροφή ενός κουταβιού που προορίζεται για σκύλος οδηγός, στο σπίτι ενός εθελοντή, με σκοπό την κοινωνικοποίησή του προτού ξεκινήσει εκπαίδευση για σκύλος οδηγός. Σκύλοι οδηγοί Λάρα: Η σχολή σκύλων οδηγών τυφλών Λάρα ιδρύθηκε τον Ιούλιο του 2008, είναι η πρώτη σχολή σκύλων οδηγών που ιδρύθηκε στην Ελλάδα. πρόεδρος και συνιδρύτρια είναι η Ιωάννα-Μαρία Γκέρτσου, τυφλή χειρίστρια σκύλου οδηγού, ψυχολόγος σε παιδιατρικό νοσοκομείο. Αποφάσισε να δημιουργήσει μια σχολή σκύλων οδηγών, αφού έφερε τον πρώτο σκύλο οδηγό της, τη Λάρα, από το εξωτερικό και είδε τα οφέλη που της πρόσφερε στις μετακινήσεις της. Αυτή τη στιγμή η Σχολή σκύλων οδηγών Λάρα έχει χειριστές σκύλων οδηγών σε Αθήνα και Θεσσαλονίκη, κάποιοι είναι φοιτητές, εργαζόμενοι, αθλητές goalball.
