It feels like some kind of educative and playful experimenting to approach a theme that has lots of cultural background. And then -- when no music-historical precision is aspired -- something creative sets in, when elements are combined and stacked and layered and put into some new whole.

What’s happening? It’s a very important time for many people in Scotland just now... exam time! If you’re busy preparing for exams and assignments just now, we’re thinking of you! We know that you’re under a lot of strain, but here’s some advice from a few of our team to make this time easier for you:
Iona says that the ‘Pomodoro method’ is helpful. This includes taking time out in a consistent way. Apart from that, make sure that you do your work in a specific place – at a desk instead of your bed! Even if you’re feeling exhausted, it’s better to have a separation between a place for relaxing and a place for studying. 
Take care of yourself, Eilidh says. Make sure that you’re eating healthy food, drinking water, taking time off for other things and going to bed early. Sometimes, when you’re stressed, it’s too easy to drink too much coffee and eat too many sweets. But, that just puts your brain and body under more strain. 
Rona’s best advice: Go out for a walk! You’ll feel the better of it, without a doubt. It’s much easier to retain information when you have a clear mind. Even if there’s a little rain, five minutes won’t do you any harm!

Six months over, six to go... who’d have thought it? The first half of the year has passed in the blink of an eye. Whether you’ve had a good year or a difficult one so far, we hope you’ve found joy in the little things. June brings in the start of summer, a season that’s calm and busy at the same time. Do you like acrostics? Here’s one for this month:
Òran| A song or two at the festivals? What’s your favourite song?
Grian gu leòr... | Plenty of sun... we hope. Scotland is beautiful anyway, but it really is spectacular when you see the sun rising above the hills. You need to be up early in the morning to see this, though!
Measan uabhasach fhèin blasta. | Some very tasty fruits. Are you a fan of strawberries, or rhubarb? This is the time where they’re available in abundance. Between pies and jam, there’s loads you can do with them!
Hò-rò gheallaidh, ’s dòcha? | A hò-ro gheallaidh, maybe? This is the time of year where we all know someone that is getting married!
Itealach, ma tha thu a’ falbh air làithean-saora! | Flying, if you’re going away on holiday! Everyone is different when it comes to holidays. Some of us look forward to a week on the beach, and other prefer visiting big cities. Are you going anywhere?

An t-Ògmhios | June

Being musician and artist "since ages", the last two decades and all the developments in digital music broadened my interests and activities in doing music actively and passively. Not being shy of any genre (OK, leave off some Punk and Extreme Metal derivates) I engage in composing, arranging, mixing and collaborating. 

Oh, and I do all my artwork and designs as well. And as you may notice I regard AI as a friendly helper.

Have a few looks & listens into my repertoire and eventually gain some insights. I'm always open for collabs if the the interests match ...
