6 hours before this MainStage Opening set at our SANVIDA GATHERING a storm hit us and destroyed literally the WHOLE festival - everything we have built up all the previous days… gone. The marketplaces, our MainStage, the sacred area (the tent got pulled into the air and ripped apart) every single area was completely torn apart. And you can’t believe how devastated we were 🥺

next day everyone got up at 6:30am and helped rebuilt the festival from scratch and by the time of our opening ceremony it looked like nothing has happened!

So IMAGINE THE ENERGY when we opened the festival with the first ecstatic dance set 😳 ecstatic dances in general are a journey of all emotions… but THIS was OUT OF THIS WOLRD! I

What a lovely message for the holiday season.

Modern Angels performed many songs in concert that we never had the opportunity to record in the studio. This beautiful song written by the legendary Shelby Flint is one of them. Our 1992 Christmas concert (which ultimately turned out to be our last Christmastime concert) was the one and only time we ever performed this song. Thankfully someone was there with a VHS camera and a tripod who recorded the entire show from the back of the theater. We are so grateful to have this vintage concert preserved, and now thanks to the wonders of modern technology it is our pleasure to finally be able to bring some of these performances out of the vaults and share them with the world.
