Algorithmic Soul

The linear sequence of musical notes and the arrangement of sound and silence in this track was generated by the galvanic data (micro voltage fluctuations) of an amaranth plant in the @steinguey #biosonification studio in San Mateo Rio Hondo, Oaxaca. The 2:40 min. MIDI file was then sent to Esteban Carrasco Zehender in Chile to create an acoustic jazz arrangement (xylophone, bass, drums, guitar) which was a few days later synched with the original electronic tracks in the Garageband DAW. Patch note – It’s a Mess

Arbhar in follow mode catches random samples, while a heavy bassline is filtered through the Raging Bull and driven into distortion by the Monotropa. A pure sine wave gets wavefolded by the Piston Honda, adding sharp harmonics.

Everything is in constant motion: the Ochd modulates itself through a matrix mixer, creating evolving LFO chaos, while Peaks injects random voltages to push the whole patch further into unpredictability.

The result: granular textures, distorted low-end, and folding sine tones — all wrapped in self-modulated randomness.

7H3-3N61N33R is one of the alter egos of musician, composer, producer, and audio engineer MBVR, also known as “‪Ñutram Kalku” For a decade and a half, he has been exploring the facets of ambient, IDM, dub, and downtempo, participating in composition, production, keyboards, synthesis, and sound design for metal bands and remixing songs. One of his projects was the opening of an important radio program in Argentina on “Vorterix Radio",“detachment & transition” is the single from his official debut on Egregor Music.

Who said you need high bpms and a beat to create an intense and dizzying experience? This piece, developed with the benefits of historic hardware synthesizers from the 1990s, was created using multi-layer processing of generative modular digital synthesis. Our sonic baquiano breaks new ground by mapping what is known as the psychonaut's holy grail, the dissolution of identity and ego: “astral death,” which empirically offers the possibility of reducing the fear of death, increasing personal well-being and sense of purpose, as a psycho-spiritual tool and transition of consciousness around the mystery that surrounds the end of our days on the physical plane and the consummation of the biological cycle.

Dark generative ambient drone crafted on a compact portable modular rig (Arturia 6U).

Layers of sound emerge from Piston Honda MK3, Error Instrument Sound Scaper, Klavis Twin Waves, and Instruō Arbhar, all sculpted through the Wasp and Mutable Ripples filters.

Expect evolving sequences, unpredictable cross-modulations, and textures ranging from Clank Chaos to  Acid Rain Maestro, with Ornament and Crime, shaped through VCAs.

The sound is washed in immersive delay and feedback via Mimeophon, then drenched in the rich, haunting reverb of Desmodus Versio.

Inspired by the natural mathematics of growth, Fibonacci is a sound piece crafted around the Fibonacci sequence. Each note repeats following the series’ progression — 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 — tracing a gentle transition from origin to expansion.

The composition unfolds like a sonic spiral, echoing the proportions found in leaves, shells, and distant galaxies. Its structure reflects proportional growth and the subtle rhythms that move through natural processes.

The piece develops in two phases: the first shaped by the initial numbers of the sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5), and the second extending the pattern toward 8 and 13, allowing the spiral to open into continuous, harmonious expansion.

Experienced as an evolving cycle, the work invites a state of attentive, conscious listening — recognising familiar patterns, observing growth step by step, and noticing how small repetitions can blossom into something larger. It can also be received as a brief meditative pause, revealing its depth only when approached with presence.
