Geonkick Bells

At Sonoj (https://sonoj.org) in October 2023 we had a One Hour Sample Challenge: make a "Track" with the provided samples in one hour. The samples were field recordings of some cowbells and singing monks from Romania:

After the event I sat down and fleshed out the track I had created during the challenge some more. I worked on it again for a couple hours on a few days later but then laid it aside to work on other songs. At this point I don't think I'll find the time to finish this, so here it is in it's current state, with a lame fadeout and some mix distortion and other warts and all...

I created this track based on an unreleased demo for the "string-machine" plugin by J.P. Cimalando. I completed the arrangement and recorded it using only free and open source plugins for my presentation at the Sonoj Convention in October 2023.

Pumpkin Scar

Geonkick is a free software synthesizer capable of producing various percussion sounds. Re-shared tracks are tracks in which authors mentioned that they used Geonkick in the track.

I'm a music enthusiast by compulsion and a software developer by trade hailing from Cologne, Germany. I developed my deep love for synthesizers and sound design in my thirties, although I had been playing various instruments since my childhood and even had a Korg Poly 800 analog synthesizer in my teens.

I have an eclectic taste in music, but I gravitate towards melodic pieces, which tell a story. My compositions also cover a wide variety of styles from synth pop to progressive rock and folk to classical.
