Phonix Records is proud to present a one of a kind EP from amigos Ionkhe (Ivan Lugo/Mexico) and Space Ape (Robin Levin/ Sweden).  Years in the making, surviving multiple hardware failures, cross-Atlantic transmissions and numerous dimension jumps - these two talented beat hackers were able to document their crazy sonic adventures to deliver the story of the “Space Weirdos”.

The release starts with the playful, mischievous tune - documenting an evening with their kitty companion Michael Wazowski. Things were going well.. until things got strange, looney and reality began to distort. All the duo can recall is Michael Wazowski asking them about who put the “Catnip in my Nips”. 

As the fog of confusion cleared, the Weirdos found themselves questioning their reality. Soon they were only communicating to each other through fractal patterns and geometry. And then as the light of reason became clear - they figured it out - it had something to do with the “Pyramids”. A hefty tune full of inky goodness, creepy vibes and fat grooves.

And the final chapter of the story begins. Comprehension becoming clear, mind games subside and the ultimate realization of a shared journey of EPIC proportions is perfectly expressed in the form of the looney and delicious - “Mamma Mia”. A fast paced looney track, a mechanical opera and fitting an end to the story of the Space Weirdos. 

Phonix Records is proud to share the vision of the Space Weirdos - a sign of things to expect over the course of 2025! A big thank you to Homegrown Audio Mastering (Mexico) for the epic mastering, and Ionkhe for pulling double duty with the graphics.

Phonix Records is back with its 5th release of the year! This time label manager Ishikawa puts together our first compilation for 2025. Over a year in the making, this release focuses on expanding the labels' sound palette. After a deep meditation on what twilight psytrance stands for today, the vision of 'Twilight Realities' was born!

The journey starts with Ionkhe's (Ivan Lugo/Mexico) 'Puppet'. Dreamy melodies over a slowly evolving groove help set the tone for the voyage ahead. Legend Moaiact (Luciano Cisternas Salvo/Chile) amps things up with his energetic and acid laced 'Peak to Peak'. Taking an intentional approach is Random (Ross Dubois/USA), with the 'Oddness' - a super psychedelic tale that ebbs and flows, always pushing things closer to the edge. 

From here on - things are elevated to the next level. The ever impressive Billuminati (Czetka Bela/Hungary) presents his funky tale of 'Bro His' - modulated leads and an unrelenting funky bassline are destined to make this a crowd favorite. Not to be outdone is master Eeriegeist (Sebastian Salas/Mexico) with his signature low rumbling bassline that wiggles its way all around the dancefloor in a move he calls the 'Saucer Glide'. And now we hit critical mass. Reality is resonating uncontrollably with the help of Akromode (Andres Garcia/Mexico) - who spins a tale with a playful bassline that is a full frontal assault to the senses, this is 'Magical Vision'. 

All things lead to the final chapter of this saga - the epic three way collaboration between Space Ape (Robin Levin/Sweden), Ionkhe and Absolute 9 (Carlos Ontiveros/Mexico). Pure psychedelic magic and a no non-sense bassline make this a fitting end to this journey through the 'Twilight Realities'.

“From 2016-2022 I was just using this page (originally titled "Tryptamang") to show my amateurish experimentations/demo's using Ableton intro, a 2012 Macbook & ATH-M40x’s. Ishikawa is Angad Kapoor from Mumbai, India and now based in San Francisco, USA. At age 14, he first came into contact with psytrance listening to Infected Mushroom’s Psycho and that was the beginning of a lifelong obsession. Over the years his interest grew in music for the twilight hours featuring music from the likes of Scorb, Digital Talk, and Rubix Qube alongside his first love that was epic morning and full on music paced. In 2010 he decided to join Phonix Records with the intent of promoting upcoming artists and above all – pushing nothing but good music. Since then he has gone to play at a number of festivals - Equinox (USA), Caracha Experience (Mexico), The Great Funspiracy (Canada) to name a few. In 2011, he joined the legendary Mechanik Records family till it finally closed down. Today he has diversified his sound palette into groovy forest music from the likes Blacklite Records, Looney Moon Records and Bom Shanka Music running from 148-152 bpm. His mixes have been regularly featured on a number of radio streams now, Radio Schizoid (India) where he helped organize show & interviews, Pump Up The Volume (France), Boomadelic (Israel), The Cheeky Grin (Australia) and Babaganousha (Germany).  Fast forward to 2019 Ishikawa proudly manages Phonix Records as well as represents Kaos Krew Records as a DJ. In 2020, Ishikawa also created a new DJ alias -Saturate- focused on melodic house music for slower grooves. Today, with 11 compilations to his name, over 50 releases overseen on home label Phonix Records - Ishikawa is at his happiest listening, sharing and spreading psytrance music.

Static Corn is a minimal psytrance project that was active primarily between 1999 and 2007, created by an artist known as DEHN. The project is noted for its dark, groovy sound, and it gained some recognition in the psytrance community for its innovative tracks. One of Static Corn's notable contributions is the track "The Goblin vs Mr Tierney," which was released on the 2006 compilation album The Lurker by Cosmic Conspiracy Records. This compilation features various artists and is known for its deep, moody vibes, catering to fans of the minimal and dark psytrance genres.

After a period of dormancy, Static Corn was revived in 2015, inspired by a live chill-out set DEHN performed at a festival in Sweden. The reboot brought a faster tempo to the project while maintaining its signature style. In 2024, the project saw another revival, returning to its original roots with a renewed focus on the dark and groovy elements that defined its earlier work​

In 2010, Paulo Etnarama was inspired to support fresh up and coming psytrance producers acts in twilight psytrance, and thus Phonix Records was born in London. Later that year he found his partner in crime - Ishikawa, a fellow traveler in the cosmos who shared the same vision. Together they worked tirelessly with the aim of providing sonic scientists and wizards the means to be heard by audiences galaxy wide.

Fast-forward 3 years to 2013, Etnarama goes on sabbatical and Ishikawa takes the reigns to manage the label. Since then - Phonix Records has now branched from its home in the UK with representation across USA, Portugal, and South Africa. Over 15 years and over 50 releases, they have released fresh releases featuring all the flavors of the twilight spectrum. Today they proudly support an ever-growing roster of new and established producers from across the globe including France, South Africa, Mexico, Portugal and Canada.

Focusing completely on the music for the twilight hours, Phonix Records has constantly been pushing to release nothing but the very best in super powered, hyper charged, 100% unadulterated twilight psytrance! They strive to leave their mark on the psytrance scene as a serious label known to support the music they love.

PSYDERIUM – Klangräume für die Seele

Ich bin PSYDERIUM – ein Klangsuchender, der seit dem Jahr 2000 in stillen Nächten und tiefen Momenten Musik erschafft. Nicht für Bühnen, nicht für Trends – sondern aus reiner Freude am Klang, an der Frequenz, an der Reise nach innen. Meine Tracks entstehen im Verborgenen, als intime Alchemie aus Technik und Gefühl, zwischen Maschinengeflüster und Naturklang.

Meine Wurzeln liegen im Analogen: Grooveboxen wie die Roland MC-303, MC-505 und die Yamaha RS7000 waren meine ersten Begleiter. Mit einem einfachen 4-Kanal-Mixer begann ich Klang zu formen – als würde ich Licht mit Schatten mischen. Diese frühe Zeit prägt meine Musik bis heute: detailverliebt, eigenwillig, tief.

Eine Reise nach Goa im Jahr 2004 öffnete mein Herz für die mystischen Schichten des Seins – für Klang als Träger von Bewusstsein, für Musik als Portal. Seither fließen die Rhythmen der Erde, das Rauschen des Waldes, das Zwitschern ferner Wesen in meine Tracks ein – nicht als Dekoration, sondern als Essenz.

PSYDERIUM ist kein lautes Projekt. Es ist eine Einladung zum Lauschen. Eine verschlungene Klanglandschaft zwischen treibenden Bässen, schimmernden Melodien und einer Stille, die zwischen den Tönen wohnt.
