This is an archive of The Clean Up Hour. Tonight's mix makes the case for God Made ME Funky, the Canadian Funk-Hop outfit who, I will admit, I only discovered recently, compared to other who have been of focus throughout the All Things Considered series. Yet and still, they dropped 6 fun, funky albums in ten years, did a lot of touring, and -- in my opinion -- should be recognized not just for their music, but for their existence as a band, and for how they can remind us of how we used to approach authenticity and expression in music.
