Danielle M. Smith is an award-winning veteran journalist with over a decade of experience working in national news and gospel radio. Smith shines as a part-time on-air talent at Power 1360 WGBN where she hosts “Good News” a show that spotlights local and national change agents making a positive impact in the Western Pennsylvania region.  

Before “Good News with Danielle Smith” show on radio, it debuted on PCTV’s community access station in 30-minute segments anchored by Danielle.

Smith also hosted for nine years “Hot or Not” a show that spotlighted local and national Gospel/Christian artists. Smith is also an account executive for WGBN, selling air-time spots to businesses and churches.

Smith is a former national Audio Journalist with Sheridan Broadcasting Networks and American Urban Radio Networks. Her responsibilities were interviewing individuals for news stories involving the African-American community, including political figures, celebrities, and notable activists.  Key interviews include Congresswoman Kamala Harris, Arne Duncan, Judge Lynn Toler, Catherine Pugh (Former Mayor of Baltimore) and Steve Harvey. 

Smith has been recognized for her stellar reporting work. She was awarded the Robert L. Vann Media Award for Radio/Public Affairs feature story, “Sister Friend Provides Feminine Care Products to Homeless Women.” (2017). Smith is also an awardee of the New Pittsburgh Courier 2016 Women of Excellence.

In 2013, Danielle received the Community Spirit Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism from North Side Institutional Church.  In 2012, Smith teamed with other members of the AURN newsroom to win a Robert L. Vann Award for excellence (Voting Rights Series) from the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation (PBMF).

Danielle’s also a member of PBMF and participated in their Frank Bolden Urban Journalism workshop as a high school student. Smith is a former contributing writer for the Soul Pitt Media quarterly magazine. She’s also a Communications board member for the Functional Literacy Ministry of Haiti, a Christian nonprofit organization that provides health, hope, educational guidance and evangelism to Haitians in Haiti.

Danielle earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Broadcasting from Point Park University (Pittsburgh, PA).

Singer-songwriter and musician Bryan Joel has been in love with music since childhood. As the son of a church pastor, he spent his time in church services and activities alongside his father and mother, watching them as they served the church through tears, trials, and victories. After his mother lost her first child, she received a prophetic word, after getting out of the hospital, that her next child would be a boy and that he would grow up to become a psalmist who would minister to the Lord and the world through music. Finding the stage by the age 3, Bryan would run to the church altar and sit next to the musicians because he wanted to minister to the Lord alongside the church’s worship team. Bryan’s parents believed there was no other place he would rather be during worship than ushering the church to the presence of God. By age 15, Bryan received his first guitar from his father, who received a revelation from the Lord instructing him to buy Bryan a guitar. Through his high school years, the Holy Spirit began to inspire Bryan to learn to play the guitar and write his first song titled “Praise YHWH.” After finishing his studies as a radiologic technologist, Bryan received a prophetic word from the Lord that at the end of 2023, he will begin to see and experience the promise the Lord gave his parents regarding his ministry, leading Bryan Joel to receive over 60,000 followers on the TikTok platform by May 2024. Always ready to go wherever the Spirit of the Lord leads, Bryan is releasing his first single, “Praise YHWH.”

The Bergquam’s started their training for ministry in San Diego. They began full-time ministry with an evangelistic tour throughout the USA and Canada, encouraging believers in the local church for outreach. This was followed by 3 years of evangelistic tours to 13 countries throughout Europe, serving with Victory Outreach Ministries based in Amsterdam, Holland. In 1990, Kurt and Valerie followed God’s call into pastoral ministry with a church plant to the city of Lelystad, in the Netherlands. Completing 7 fruitful years on the mission field for the Kingdom, they returned home to continue pastoral work in different regions of the USA. Since 2011, Kurt & Valerie are super blessed to be serving Jesus with Harvest Time Church in their hometown of San Diego, coming full circle from their ministry beginnings!

Pastor Kurt enjoys working with Marketplace Chaplains, sharing Christ’s message of hope with corporate business leaders in San Diego. He also serves as Chaplain with Teen Challenge USA many years working with those suffering from drug and alcohol dependency. Both Kurt and Valerie are ordained ministers with the SoCal Network Assemblies of God. Kurt received his B.A. degree and master’s in Theology. Valerie has a bachelor’s degree in Theology, and is currently studying in the master’s program for an M.Th. with Christian Bible College and Seminary in Blue Springs, MO. She is passionate for mental, physical, spiritual health and well-being for every individual; certified with the Cleveland Clinic , previously coaching women throughout Riverside and San Diego counties as a Fitness & Dietary Counselor. Kurt enjoys skiing and water sports, including surfing and their family loves hiking together in the great San Diego mountains.  They have two adult children.
