It’s the haunting urgency in R.EK’s tracks that captures the listener instantly. R.EK tears down the walls of conventions with monumental, technoid soundscapes that carry stories within.
Years and years of bringing his live sets to perfection were finally rewarded when R.EK was called to be one of the resident DJs of the prestigious Hive Club in Zurich, Switzerland. What sets him apart are his memorable live sets, where he’s able to pick up the audience’s mood, and to channel it into his music. The result thereof is the skillful bundling of the crowd’s energy—that is also projected onto his studio recorded tracks. Letting himself being inspired by this energy determines the versatility of R.EK’s music that mesmerizes with vehemence and gripping ease, all at once.

While Pi started playing music in 2015, his love for the electronic music dates back years. When he first went to a technoparty as a teenager, he was immediately captured by the music, the crowd and the vibe, and it‘s stayed with him. 
Pi decided after some time as a spectator that he wanted to share his passion and watch people dance to his music. So began his DJ journey. 
Pi has developed his own track selection and mixing style over time. His sound repertoir moves from melodic house and melodic techno right up to heavier maintime techno. Sometimes he’s dreamy and spacey, sometimes he’s dark and driving but Pi always plays with heart, soul and a swag of melody.

The name is derived from Ikigai (ee-key-guy 生き甲斐, 'a reason for being'). It is a Japanese concept that combines the terms iki, meaning “alive” or “life,” and gai, meaning “benefit” or “worth.” referring to something that gives a person a sense of purpose, a reason for living. More generally it may refer to something that brings pleasure or fulfilment.

My music is multifaceted from Chill to Slow Beat or Melodic /Ethereal Techno, and I just want to bring joy and happiness to my listeners. Music is my love and i hope it brings people together, because we all need love. I hope you enjoy
