You Dont Live Anymore

This started with the rhythm in guitar rig's Air Ensemble. Then that beautiful Rickenbacker bass riff with the chords added. So sweet. I actually played the B3 instead of programming it this time. I'm no Jon Lord or it would have been better. That solo sound is the Guitar Rig Blues 74 Solo. And it made my $50 guitar sound like a million $$. Oh and I sang this with my trusty, old SM58 and I wrote the lyrics too. Nothing like that Southern blues life story talking. This is probably the best production/engineering job I've done with the most live audio instruments. I impressed myself. Enjoy.

Heaven Can You Hear Me

I finally got the energy to listen to some older tracks I started. This one from 2018 got me inspired to finish it. I wanted the vocals to have a low part and then the same lyrics sung higher. Sort of like David Bowie's Heros. I had learned some tricks about making vocals sound better, so I tried those. I hate to hear myself sing as it is. Only 6 comps for a single track. The music production is always so much easier. My Fender Strat FSR on this I think.

I'll Be Exalted

I got the new update from my Native Instruments Komplete 10 Ultimate to 13 ultimate. I had to try the Butch Vig drums. The song basically wrote itself from the kit beat 8-bit Gelato Crunch. I used my trusty $50 Harmony guitar for rhythm and solo.

God Is On His Throne

I was in high school in the late 70s/early 80s. I love guitar based 80s, but also vocal based and New Wave/synth music. With the Covid-19 lock down, many companies gave away free synths. So I put this together with some of those. The lyrics refer to the wasted time spent on self-centered adventures. Then there’s the work mending the relationships wounded by those actions as you gain a heart of empathy and compassion. I feel like I'm charging across a field in battle only to find that the goal was empty and the field is strewn with wounded loved ones. Then I have to go back and pick them up, apologize and hope to heal their wounds.
