Incendia is a semi-improvised classical guitar piece which consists of a progressive crescendo. This obsessive rhythm began to invade my fingers a few years ago, like a rage filled with melancholy. It haunted me day after day, as if it wanted to tell me something. I was obliged to record it in order to detach myself from it.

I love the chord progression of this song (played in Am, just like the original). Since I don't sing, I decided to record the BT and then improvise over it. Guitar: HB Fusion T. Amp/cab modelling and all effects: ZOOM G2Four.

I recorded the drums from a drum machine, added the chord progression to form a BT and improvised a guitar solo. Drums, amp/cab modelling and all effects: ZOOM G2Four.

Some Moments Linger is a slow-burning, atmospheric solo guitar piece built on layers of slide melodies, warm hollowbody tones, and spacious looping. Recorded with an Epiphone hollowbody guitar through a Headrush Gigboard looper into an Orange amp, the performance drifts between fragile intimacy and cinematic expanse — a soundtrack for moments you wish would never end.

The Beginning - Improvisation

Guitar, Bass, Drum Programming, Synth Programming, Mixing and Mastering.

Tracks uploaded here are mostly unfinished since I can't do vocals/lyrics.  So if there are any vocalists/songwriters out there that want to work on anything let me know.  I would also be interested in joining/forming a band, if anyone needs a guitarist that does whatever it is that I do.

Ian Charles Bouras is a guitarist and producer from New York City.

Ian was nominated by Billboard Magazine to be among the top songwriters in 2004 and 2005 for his work with AñaVañA.

Since receiving his audio engineering degree, Ian has produced, mixed, and played guitar and bass on records in all genres from rock to spoken word, and is now working as a freelance audio engineer.

Ian produced, played guitar, bass, and mixed AñaVañA’s second release entitled "R*U*B" (2005), which was called: “Sophisticated and musically brilliant… a magnetic hybrid of music… a refreshing 2nd full length record… a distinct sound-from shy to outright strident” --- RACHEL ROKICKI (The Deli Magazine)

His first solo release on SDMP Records, entitled “A Cure For Reality” (2007), has Ian producing, playing guitar, keys, bass, programming drums, and mixing, and earned him attention from music fans and critics alike: “A surprisingly unique and fresh sound. Ian's newest release, "Two Sides To Every Sunset", displays Ian's unique mix of reggae with Spanish guitars, and electronica. With the addition of 3 reconstructed tracks, it also shows his ability to remix songs.

Good music is good music anyway you look at it, and bad music and a cheap image is not what music should be about. We put the focus on music and not image.

We have a unique approach to releasing music, that allows artists who are motivated to prosper, and artists that think other people will do everything for them to just sit and watch the world go by.

SDMP is designed for artists that are willing to invest in themselves, and get their music out to the puplic no matter what it takes. If an artist is not willing to prove that they believe in what they do, then how can they expect anyone else to?
