DEDICATED TO THE DAVIS FAMILY

This is from a future series of unreleased music performed live and recorded in Charleston South Carolina, circa 2002/03. Myself coming from Los Angeles, I was living in Charleston since 92. Around 94 I met this incredible emcee named GEORGE O'FISH DAVIS rip. From then on we have been brothers and even formed a crew. 
Long Story Short, I was rapping over my pause tapes one day as I was vending under an overpass, downtown in the city. Using a small hand held tape recorder as i leaned against the radio playing a cassette of my looped up pause tape breaks (from records that make up crates/collection i had bought from thrift shops and spots while i worked HBCUs up and down the north east coast and down south). Giving off the a feel of the tapes that were recorded in the BX park jams of old or the tapes we used to make of the hip-hop played on am radio stations such as kgfj/kday in L.A or the low quality sounds of over dubbed tapes from wbls or kiss fm in N.Y.
I made them outside at my vending table when there was downtime and sales were slow. Well one day George walks up on me doing this and he joined in! Our first joint was "PRAY TO GOD" ,unplanned off the dome and written gems. From there we made history. Front to back. I would take the cassette home later that day and add sound bites or do more songs. Record people in the street, ect.

THIS TAPE YOU HEAR NOW IS PROBABLY THE 5TH TAPE MADE FOCUSING ON GEORGE
CALLED "MONSTER"
With pieces of SPECTREMAN interwoven throughout the  tape, from my vhs collections of Kaiju movies. The name of Spectreman's alter ego was also named George. Not perfect in anyway. Lo-fi done without drum machines, turntables or mics. Just being able to make something out of nothing. Having fun with what we had.
THIS IS BEING RELEASED OUT OF LOVE FOR MY GOOD,NO GREAT BROTHER GEORGE, WHO WAS THE PRINCE OF CHARLESON SOUTH CAROLINA. HE WAS AN IMPORTANT GEM. His rhymes and poetry will not be unsung or unheard.
