Aankomende zaterdag gaat 80ste editie van La Vuelta a España van start. Met etappes in Italië, Frankrijk, Andorra en uiteraard Spanje doet de grote ronde dit keer vier landen aan. Waar we aan het begin van het seizoen uitkeken naar deel twee van de klassieker tussen Tadej Pogačar en Jonas Vingegaard, gaf Pogačar in juli aan té vermoeid uit de Tour te zijn gestapt. Dit betekent echter niet dat Vingegaard deze Vuelta dan maar eventjes op zijn naam gaat zetten. Wat kunnen we verwachten, wie zijn de klassementsmannen deze editie en hoe zit het met de Nederlandse deelname? We blikten erop vooruit met Raymond Kerckhoffs van WielerFlits.

"6:00 P.M." is the twelfth episode of the American medical drama television series "The Pitt." The episode was written by co-executive producer Joe Sachs and series creator R. Scott Gemmill, and directed by Amanda Marsalis. The series is set in Pittsburgh, following the staff of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital ER (nicknamed "The Pitt") during a 15-hour emergency department shift. The series mainly follows Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, a senior attending still reeling from some traumas. In this particular episode, the team must deal with dozens of patients flooding the ER following a mass shooting. The episode received critical acclaim, with reviewers praising the pacing, tension, writing, and performances, and single-handedly helped many newcomers to the series pick up on the show's buzz and start watching, leading to a significant increase in viewership. Marsalis was nominated for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards for directing this episode. Marsalis was kind enough to spend some time speaking with us about her work on the episode, which you can listen to below. Afgelopen weekend werd op het Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden de GP van Nederland verreden in het wereldkampioenschap motorcross. Het werd in Arnhem een Nederlands feestje, want de GP werd in zowel de MXGP als MX2 gewonnen door een Nederlander en ook in de WMX waren er Nederlanders op het podium te vinden. Volop Nederlanders op het podium bij motorcross GP Nederland - ALLsportsradio LIVE! 25 augustus 2025

Het WK motorcross is afgelopen weekend tot een eind gekomen. In de MXGP, MX2 en WMX ging de titelstrijd door tot op het allerlaatst. De Fransman Romain Febvre kon al na de eerste manche in Darwin de MXGP-titel claimen, ondanks de zege voor supertalent Lucas Coenen. In de MX2 was het na een spannende strijd uiteindelijk toch Simon Längenfelder die Kay de Wolff van titelverdediging afhield. Nederlands feest was er in de WMX, waar Lotte van Drunen dicht genoeg bij een ontketende Kiara Fontanesi kon blijven om de titel met slechts zeven punten verschil te grijpen.
