Uncertainty about and confidence in the future, melancholia and euphoria, tears and hope: The 5th Mollono.Bass album resonates with a zeitgeist that is a complex, highly divergent, sometimes even opposing state of thoughts and emotions. Deep and heady groove structures create compelling drive, emotive human voices add introspective fragility, free flowing harmonies unfurl as intense collective ecstasy. Vocals reflect pensively on issues like falling apart, yet the tracks themselves are magnificent examples of what happens when creative minds come together. MAZ’N contributed to several titles on Tear & Hope, in one of them we also hear the voice of Margret. The song-oriented approach of these tunes is another very contemporary aspect – one that will find expression in a special live show this year. Andy’s Echo adds to the signature vibe of friendship and co-creation on this Mollono.Bass album with a mutual production, as well. With many different expressions of its main theme, Tears & Hope has everything it takes to make a powerful, electrifying impact - on major dancefloors and in intimate listening settings alike.

HMWL Premiere: Mollono.Bass - Dancing In The Morning Light (Original Mix) [3000Grad]

Heist Recordings welcomes back Cinthie with the ‘Get Up’ EP, following her ‘Piano Heaven’ EP for the label in 2023, which won the hearts of Pete Tong, The Blessed Madonna, Chloé Caillet, and more. The four-track ‘Get Up’ EP opens with 'Deep Inside Love', a classy cut that harks back to the steamy emotions of early House, wrapped up in big, lush chords with acid-tinged synths and loved-up vocals that bear all the hallmarks of an instant classic. 'Higher' flips the script with more driving drums, raved-up stabs and retro basslines while female vox loops amp up the heat.

On the B-side, Cinthie launches into an organ-fueled workout with title cut 'Get Up', fusing dubbed-out vocals, raw percussion and sumptuous strings. London-based producer and Semi Delicious label head Demi Riquísimo closes out the package with a remix of ‘Higher’, where golden Detroit chords, searching synth leads and jacked-up drums come together to sweep dancers off their feet.

Few artists in the contemporary dance scene are as widely respected as Cinthie. The Berlin-based tastemaker has been living and breathing House music for decades on many fronts: touring the world fiercely as a DJ, dropping heat on labels like Aus Music, heading up her 803 Crystal Grooves imprint, and running the renowned Elevate Records store in Berlin.

VINNY VILLBASS (Oslo, NOR)

One of the most pivotal figures in Oslo’s DJ community, there is no current narrative in Oslo’s electronic music scene where the name Vinny Villbass could be negated. If it involves house music, Vinny Villbass is somehow involved.

He is also one of two curators behind the much hyped contemporary stage project Pantha Du Prince & The Bell Laboratory and he is currently performing live with his house-band LAFT in collaboration with percussionist Tomas Järmyr (motorpsycho).

As DJ, Vinny Villbass is known for his exceptional groove and timing, a selector with a penchant for vinyl with 25 years behind the decks. Mostly in Scandinavia, but also as a resident of german club capitol Berlin and New York. His Berlin years include "I Am Single" -label collaboration with the legendary Khan, in addition to residencies at ArenaKlub, Kleine Reise and Picknick.

His musical experience also reaches far beyond his years as house DJ and vinyl junkie. As guitar and synth player in diskJokkeBand and a trained engineer in acoustics, Vinny Villbass productions challenge the boundaries of traditional club music, but always infrated by that classic house sound.

With previous releases on Afro Art, Kindisch, Troll, Trunkfunk, Beatservice, Rebirth and Eskimo Recordings, he currently runs the collective and label badabing.diskos from his studio in Berlin.

This was recorded playing a strictly vinyl set at Oslo club Storgata26. A few unreleased nuggets and some classics.

Born in 1985, Kaldera is a producer and DJ from Berlin. Although this does sound pretty basic, you just haven't entered his universe yet. Being passionate about music production, he's been developing his vision of music over the past 7 years and is happy to share it now with his audience.

His productions gather a deep techno wave and a keen ability to twist and tear the melody and rhythms, extracting intense flows from it. After releases in 2014 under Karera and later under WONNEmusik, he started to allow people to discover his universe. He's not going to scorn on you, he is not pretending to be the best producer and DJ ever.
