It's the middle of the NHL offseason, Evan is off on important business, and so what better time to dive into some Detroit Red Wings point predictions?

Afgelopen weekend is het EK Hockey van start gegaan. In Mönchengladbach hebben onze mannen en vrouwen inmiddels hun eerste duels gespeeld. De mannen wonnen van Spanje, wonnen de kraker van België en zijn inmiddels al zeker van de halve finale. Onze vrouwen wonnen hun openingsduel van Ierland, maar zullen toch hopen dat ze vanavond iets overtuigender op het veld staan tegen het Duitsland van Janneke Schopman. We spraken erover met voormalig tophockeyer Jacques Brinkman.

Hockeymannen zeker van halve finale na winst in kraker! - ALLsportsradio LIVE! 11 augustus 2025

Voor onze Oranje Lions staat de maand augustus in het teken van de WK-kwalificatie. In de tweede ronde van de pre-qualifiers gaat Oranje vooralsnog fier aan kop in Groep F met twee gewonnen duels uit twee wedstrijden. Begin augustus werd thuis gewonnen van Oostenrijk en zaterdag wonnen de mannen ook op bezoek bij Bulgarije. Nu wachten voor onze basketballers de komende twee woensdagen dezelfde tegenstanders, maar dan nu respectievelijk uit en thuis. We spraken erover met onze bondscoach Johan Roijakkers.

Orange Lions goed onderweg in WK-kwalificatie! - ALLsportsradio LIVE! 11 augustus 2025

De afgelopen twee weken werd het Europees kampioenschap handbal voor meiden onder de 17 jaar gespeeld. Onze meiden sloten het toernooi af met winst in het duel om de dertiende plek, door Slovenië met 22-21 te verslaan. Daarmee gaan de meiden naar huis met een WK-ticket op zak, die ze mede door dit resultaat hebben weten veilig te stellen. Één van de speelsters uit het team is Jelena Ostojic, die afgelopen december nog ons Talentboek Talent van de Maand was. Hoe was het in Montenegro? We blikten er met haar op terug.
