Лоботомия - это устаревшее нейрохирургическое вмешательство, форма психохирургии, при котором удалялась или разъединялась одна из долей головного мозга. Префронтальная лоботомия, в частности, подразумевала частичное удаление лобных долей. Такое вмешательство приводило к нарушению связей между лобными долями и остальными структурами мозга, часто вызывая абулию (отсутствие воли).
