Hyperfolk Mixtape #1

"City Pastures" sees JJ mustering his modular synthesizer devices to rework an idea Inspekta Rootsman and he originally recorded in 2009 in Nairobi. 
City Pastures is a cautionary tale about how the illusions of greener pastures in the city of Nairobi can quickly become a nightmarish situation for those unacquainted with the insidious nature of the dog eat dog society of the city.

Hartiamon sampled the first Taklax tune from Lapua-Uusi-Guinea's medley "Tre Taklax i tvåtakt". Originally intended as a remix, I felt it needed some vocals. So I wrote a new topline and lyrics to complement the original fiddle melody.
