"I Keep Going Back"  is that track for the ones caught in the cycle – knowing it’s time to move on, but still pulled by the past. Created with the thought of "if Michael Jackson and Luther Vandross made a duet," this song blends smooth, soulful melodies with an undeniable groove. It’s real, raw, and unapologetic, showing the struggle of being torn between what you know isn’t right and what you can’t seem to let go of. This is my first full song, and I just fully learned how to use a DAW during this process (within the past two weeks) so some parts may be rough. My dad didn’t get what he wanted then,
But I guess I play the piano now,

I came from marching band,
The back bone in symphonic band,
My dad thought I would play the keys,
So I could play for his real band,

But I just fooled around,
Played the games instead,
Took to school for big degrees,
But I fell apart in the end,

I was a solo man,
Then I switched to family plan,
Thought I knew where I would be,
Until this girl became my girlfriend,

There’s so much to learn from my path,
Never try to follow it,
I made so many mistakes,
But they made me who I am,

Made me a gentle man,
Dad raised me a family man,
So I provide, work the day,
Yeah, until the days end,

Been writing lyrics since high school,
And beat boxing from the same,
I just couldn’t make the beat,
Until my life went through a big change,

Felt like I’d be the best to do it,
But writing full songs gave me so much pain,
A chorus or 2 that was easy,
But I struggled to do the whole thang,

Now I’m moved out of state,
Found my world of inspiration,
Every day's a new adventure,
Life is full of motivation,

So sad, I don’t have the time now,
This job got me in a bind now,
But I gotta provide,
Even though works got me dying inside,

That’s why I need the music,
Help me get out of this rut,
So life goes back to butterflies,
And chicken butts,

I’m into those corny jokes,
My girl loves that from me,
It only been a year,
But feels like all of history,

Do all in the world for her,
But even so,
