Crying For You was first recorded with my tortured vocals maybe 1-2 years ago.  We've just re-recorded the whole thing, shortened it a little, but most importantly gave the song the vocals it deserved. Crying For You is a ballad that floats like a boat on a gentle river.  We hope you like this newest (and almost final - the vault is almost empty) entry.  It's been fun revisiting these songs and seeing whether they stood up to closer scrutiny (many did not and will stay in the vault where they belong). In a Minute was a moody instrumental track for a while with a title and not much else lyrically. Over the last couple of weeks I started to come up with a series of lines that seemed to fit the music and got the team together and cut this new version which is a lot more fun and upbeat than my original demo (which I might post for shits and giggles!). It's been recorded by me many times which tells you I don't really know how this song should sound even though I really like the melody a lot. The lyrics of this song are based on a true event that occurred in New York some time back. Darkness Blues is a reimaging of another song called The Darkest Soul, which is a more traditional sort of song.  Here, we've played around with the descending melody line and made it moodier.  It still is a song about the passage of time written by someone (me) who at the time knew nothing about the concept.  Hope you like this little nugget. Over a 40 year span, I have written a countless number of songs, alone or in collaboration with others.  Here, you will find the product of those efforts with many songs recently re-recorded.  Frequently, earlier versions live here as well. All songs were written by me (RC Sterling) unless otherwise noted.  While several singers contribute to what you hear, the most common element across the material is a commitment to crafting catchy pop/rock/alternative tunes. In some instances AI programs have been used to isolate older vocal tracks when the original audio files could not be found.  All tracks have been auto tuned and pitch corrected as needed. Unfortunately, nothing could help those demos that featured my lead vocals. 😁
