Modūl Mix 009 come to us from Florida Native, hailing from Jacksonville, Eric Akers aka ‘Glad It’s Night’. Eric's been a fixture of the electronic music scene for longer than he hasn’t. His moniker is inspired by an André 3000 verse featured in UGK’s ‘International Players’ Anthem.’ The verse states “I’m so like a pimp, I’m glad it’s night, so the light from the sun does not burn me on my bum.’ His pasty complexion and affinity for the nightlife are fitting of his brand. With deep roots in house, techno, break beats, booty bass, hip-hop, R&B, drum n’ bass, trap, halftime, 160 bpm, and everything grimy … he has an obvious taste for the underground sound. Modūl is proud to host this up-and-coming artist’s debut mix. We look forward to the future with much anticipation as we watch our pasty & sleep-deprived friend as he ignites the dance floor with his soulful technique. IDK about you, but we’re Glad It’s Night!
