Sometimes it takes surviving a catastrophic event to remind you of just how lucky you are to be alive.
Lyrically, this song was inspired by the time my mom, sister, and I escaped a burning building last year. Musically, I was trying to replicate songs like Earthmover by Have a Nice Life, Basketball Shoes by Black Country New Road, Static by Godspeed You Black Emperor, Rock 'n' Roll Suicide by David Bowie, etc.

This will be the closing track for my first album, A Song From the Paracosm. The album version will probably be longer and more fleshed out.
