From Postpartum Fatigue to Menopause Challenges - Women's Health

This podcast discusses the judgment from the First-tier Tribunal (Tax Chamber) regarding Ved Parkash's appeal against the Commissioners for His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs. The core issue concerns Mr. Parkash's applications to appeal out of time and to reinstate an appeal that was previously struck out due to his failure to comply with tribunal directions. The Tribunal analyzes the reasons provided for the delay, including health issues and difficulties securing legal representation, alongside relevant procedural rules and established case law regarding the handling of late applications and reinstatements. Ultimately, the Tribunal refuses both of Mr. Parkash's applications, finding that there were no sufficient grounds to excuse the delay and that reinstating the appeal would not align with the need for efficient litigation and respecting time limits.
