Did And Done

This is the first tone version of a custom-built hexaphonic neck pickup prototype, currently under development, installed in a low-budget Baltimore Stratocaster guitar. Each string features individually tuned tonal settings to achieve a perfectly balanced and articulate sound across the entire range.

The recording was made using Shure SM57 and AKG C3000 microphones, through a basic transistor amplifier(Hughes & Kettner Tour Reverb). No studio processing was applied , only a touch of post-recording reverb. The goal was to test the pickup’s clarity and dynamic response in a real-world, budget-friendly setup.

Despite the modest guitar and amp, the hexaphonic system reveals surprising detail and tonal separation, showcasing the potential of string by string control.
