That day, I had a really fun and euphoric time. I got home and wrote this track, which took me a few weeks to finish. A trip from NY to Mexico City filled with stress due to a radical change in my life, and I finally managed to complete it, hoping to dance to it with all of you soon.

“LISBON” by Visionary

At the core of Lisbon is a custom synth patch—sleek and glassy—designed on a wavetable Serum. The lead voice is a narrow, shimmering tone, sculpted with a low-resonance filter and shaped by a slow-attack envelope, giving it a drifting, almost weightless presence. There's no clutter—just carefully shaped waveforms and clean modulation and neural waves on a synthesizer.

Underneath, a warm sine-sub bass pulses gently, barely rising above the surface, while high-frequency textures—like noise-layered blips and randomized LFO pings—tick and flicker like smart city architecture waking up at dawn. The rhythm section is ultra-minimal: crisp digital hi-hats, surgical kick, no swing, no mess. It’s the sound of precision.

Reverb and delay are used with restraint, creating wide, sterile space without losing intimacy—more lab than club, more gallery than rave and more than a simple capital, this is Lisbon.

I created my first tracks in the late 1990s in my bedroom using Fast Tracker 2 on a decidedly underpowered computer. 

Over two decades later, I produce music under the alias House Gods, a name inspired by Central Seven's seminal tracks, "God of House" and "The Making of House". 

My work draws heavily from the music that was the soundtrack to a mispent youth, spanning the mid-1990s through the 2000s.
