Bass 25.11 - Navy Cut

I stay underground and so do my musical interests. The talent emerged through the Dubstep, Garage and D&B genres have kept sounds deep, emotional , atmospheric ,uplifting ,dark and engaging. All those elements feature on this platform.....

My personal journey started with Mj Cole's  "Sincere" released in spring 98. That tune along with Goldie's " Innercity life" and " Timeless" Album from 95 was a soul defining moment of 90's UKG ,the D&B scene and my personal appreciation for music. It has been etched into my brain since 8 years old. UK Garage was my number one genre back then and i still spin mixes past,present and new to reminisce as it was my first venture into underground music . 06/07 was my discovery of Dubstep and Burial. Tunes like Skream's " Glamma" , Coki's " Haunted " Kromestar's "Ghostship" and many more was a fresh pleasure to the ears as were the dark ,wobbly dub elements found in most early songs back then. Burial however was the guy to really take it to dark places .Often described as the " Midnight london soundtrack" His E.P Untrue made me want to dive into the genre even more and out came a craving for half beat subbassed darkness. A Follow up of artists LX One, SPMC, Kahn and more kept me addicted to this day...

 2011 a sub genre emerged from Dubstep called future garage. A mix between 2step garage and Ambient Dubstep sounds. Pushed by early pioneers submerse and clueless. This genre gained another follower within me. Once again a genre thriving underground for a minority and has stabilised with talents like sorrow, craset, sloati and many others. 

2015 i retraced my subtle love for intelligent/atmospheric D&B and the liquid form which has amplified my ties with Drum & Bass from the 90s . Having heard a Smooth & Groove podcast on insta fm(Northampton) i was hooked by the melodies and deep pads used. This prompted a look into releases on Soul Deep and Smooth and Groove records, coming across Greekboy's " inside your soul" this was the tune to throw me into a binge of great present D&B music

All these genres have a special place in my soul and i will continue to DJ and hopefully produce these genres that take you on a journey like no other.
