I went down on the corner to meet my mates 
but there was no one there just empty crates
I went to my friends house pounding the gates 
but all I got was stares, scorn and hate
I drove to my brothers cabin upstate 
but he was nowhere near and I was way too late
I went to my parents country estate 
but they were in the air on some rekindling date
So why do I even care. I'll just stay in my old armchair
And maybe one day they'll all be here to hear my trumpet blare.

I texted a girl that I just got to know 
would you go out with me I thought I'd give it a go
Then after a week and a day or so she texted back 
maybe, if we could keep it low
but not right away, it is just to much snow, 
I'll have to wait and see, I really don't know
to me the reply sounded more like a no, 
quite dismissively, like a no go
So I guess I am better off free. 
Maybe romance is not for me.
And one thing's for sure, 
I am not going out on a dating spree.

I went for a walk through the park on a path
leading down to the quay right before dark
My plan was to sit and relax on a bench 
by the lemon tree, but the tree had been axed
and watching the garbage filled sea made me feel like a piece of debris
floating lost and forlorn on a bottomless ocean of misery
so, to whom do we make our plea? to the ones who refuse to agree
to a plan to prevent that the temperature reaches a deadly degree

Began DJ’ing as hip hop blossomed. Took a hiatus and back at it now.  Spinning house reggae r&b hip hop jazz country rock and roll soul dancehall.  All type tunes all the time

Way back in the previous millennium I used to play in a band. These days I only do programmed music, tending toward funk, with aberrations.
