This track was made for the Analog Radio vol. 2 hosted by @analogbynature. 
A shame the last volume never made past publishing.

My love for Miyazaki and Hisaishi's work remain unchanged.

Princess Mononoke (or Mononoke Hime to Japanese speakers) was one of the first Studio Ghibli films I saw.  My mom got it for me on DVD many years ago.

A number of things pushed me toward remixing this track from the legendary film.  I was invited to a gaming event by a friend of mine.  The Miami Pixel Symphony was there, performing classical renditions of various video game & anime songs, this being among them.

That same friend would later invite me to a showing of the film but I was unable to go due to a prior engagement, so in a way, this serves as an apology for that.

I relistened to the original song several times to get an idea on how to adapt this for the dancefloor.  I hope you enjoy the result.  It's available for FREE DOWNLOAD.

Other than Bandlab to master this, NO AI was used in the creation of this remix.  ;)

Rainy Days

One of my all time favorite films and soundtracks! What an amazing masterpiece by genius himself, master Hisaishi. Only he can bring the sound to all those amazing worlds created by master Miyazaki. I hope they will forgive me my humble try on recreating this piece in this cover version.

Nice to meet you. My name is Randy Derricott, an Autistic EDM DJ/producer & Pharmacy Tech based in Coral Springs, Florida (a suburb of Fort Lauderdale) by way of Richmond, Virginia.

Active since 2004, I mainly make & play Trance & Progressive House.  I also sometimes let my nerdy side show by playing what I call "Comicontronica" or EDM remixes/covers of songs from video games, anime & the like.

My adventures have had me perform at a number of venues throughout South Florida as well as some of the biggest conventions in the US, among which include Anime Iwai, Otakufest, MegaCon, Kirbiicon, Colossalcon Ohio & Ichibancon in North Carolina.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I put making music on the backburner to focus on my DJing adventures, both on Twitch and, once things eased, live shows.  I've recently decided to jump back into the music making pool again.  While I do have a Soundcloud with music I made under a past alias, I've decided to make a brand new Soundcloud, since I'll be using my real name going forward.
