I was sittin' and thinking about how to write a song that captured my lifestyle as of late. I had gotten a dog after my heart surgery, and she's turned into a loyal companion here in the middle of nowhere in Texas. She's kept me going by taking walks for her and for my health these days.

The weekend is here again.

The weekend is finally here.
The week at the factory was long and hard.
The hours until finally getting to stamp out dragged on.

Not many dollars for so many hours of hard work.
But at least you have food in the fridge for a while.
No need to think about filling up any car that'sbeen sold.

Because a ticket to a bus is now all you have money for to get around. 
Now the weekend is here, and it's time to get your dancing shoes on. 
What would life be without country music and a good old rocking song.

But like someone ones said, you shouldn't think too much.
That's not good for your health and mood. Now the weekend is here. 
So now it's only good country music and dancing shoes that are on my mind.

If there's no dance hall open, there must be some good songs on the jukebox at the local cafe. Because who wants to sit at home in a corner when the weekend is finally here?
Maybe call a friend and see what's going on.

You can't just work and grind all week long.
You have to have some swinging music sometime.
Good rocking music is what makes the world go round.

Ray Flanary: Where Faith and Country Collide
Ray Flanary, the "Inspirational Country crooner from Texas," isn't your average singer-songwriter. Born and raised under the glow of a legendary red neon sign proclaiming "Jesus Saves," his music is a vibrant tapestry woven from faith, country twang, and a whole lot of Texas heart.

Flanary's 2012 album, "Neon Church," is a poignant reflection on his upbringing, a love letter to the values instilled in him within those sacred walls. The title track, a personal narrative, captures the essence of his journey, a testament to the enduring power of faith.

On stage, Ray's charisma is undeniable.
