The Big Picture: “Why Are You Troubled?”

This song is an original song that attempts to express expectations for the future with a floating chord progression. Although the tempo is slow, it is not a ballad, but is expressed using an 8-beat rhythm. It's my favorite song, and it can be said that it came about by chance while I was experimenting with various chord progressions on the piano.

Hi, everyone! I’m back, and it’s with a super vanilla one for a change! I shall be recording in a garage from now on, and will continue working on improving the sound quality in this new environment. This is the first narrative audio I’ve done where the speaker is quoting a lot of speech in her anecdote. I hope the bits where she’s reporting what she said to her friend are distinct — in the script there are so because of quotation marks, and I should perhaps have added more stuff like ‘and so I said’ for clarity. The parts where she reports what he said to her should be pretty clear because I did my best guy voice, haha. Anyway, I hope it works overall.

I like the slightly silly speaker-character. She’s a good girl, but young and impulsive, and needs to be saved from herself, not left in the clutches of some cad. My voice perhaps makes her sound more confident and mature than the text itself would imply. Just imagine that that’s the woman she will mature into by her late twenties, with a bit of help from a solid friend. 

 Synopsis:

    When another relationship ended, leaving her heartbroken, she reached out for her best friend once again. He always knew what to say and what to do to make her feel better. As she waited for him to show up, she started to realise that maybe she needed a little more from him than just some ice cream and kind words for a change.

Scriptwriter’s remarks:

    The title came to me yesterday evening, and then the story flowed from it. […] Maybe some people will like it, even if maybe it isn’t the type of story some might like.

    When I called him and gave a tentative hello, he could hear the desperation in my voice. He could probably hear it in my breathing. This wasn’t the first time I had reached out to him like this. I think he knew the words that were going to come out of my mouth before they were spoken.

    “He broke up with me,” I said, my voice shaking, almost breaking. “Can… can you come over?”

Hey Guys, this is the Grand Finale to Our Journey through Wonderland! This Rock Ballad is the Longing for a New Life, Admitting I want to Change My Ways Once, and For All, and Declaring I will change, be Happy, and Honor my Mom, and Living for her, and Having a Successful Life Despite Her Passing Away after being Distraught for So Long. This also shows how I can not only honor her but my Cousin Ray who my Middle name is after who was Murdered 30 years ago Unfortunately. Fun Fact; I Originally Wanted to Name this Album "Ray of Sunshine" because of this message, however "Lost in Wonderland" has been even Greater, and more on brand for the theme, and My Life for the Moment but they are equally beautiful tracks. I also want to show whichever friends I met in Wonderland who I now know are actually True, and who will come along my Journey with me that they do mean so much to me, and we can continue to grow together, and eventually when I find my soulmate of a lovely lady, that we will do the same for each other, like the Mad Hatter, and Alice together as we Set Sail altogether under God to create a Bright, and Beautiful Future! This song is similar to "Peace for All", "You're Cool (Calm, & Collected)", "Life Will Go On", "Dreams of Where Our Hearts Go", "The Life of the Party!", "Perception/Set Fire to Trees", "Summer Nights" with Carson, "Light at the End of the Tunnel", and "Back to the Glory Days". This song also samples all 3 of Lady Gaga's recent 2024/2025 Mayhem singles "Die With a Smile" with Bruno Mars, "Disease", and "Abracadabra" as well as Rihanna & Calvin Harris's hit 2011 song "We Found Love" as well! I thank you God, Mom, and you all for loving this project from me, and I dedicate this album to my Mother, Laura DeCaprio, and will love her forever, and know she will always still be in my life. I "Hope" you guys can find the strength in yourselves through this album, and this song like I have, and thank you again. This is "Lost in Wonderland". I "Hope" you enjoyed it guys! Ray of Sunshine

Guys I know & so glad I've made it here, & "Light at the End of the Tunnel", "When Worlds' Collide", and "Back to the Glory Days" are all so iconic now, and so much fun. My genres really are heavy  Rock, Hip-Hop, & Pop; w/ Alternative, Nu Metal, Dark Pop, Electronic, Synth-Pop, New Wave, Disco, Folk, R&B, and Acoustic influences!!!
