Pianist and Composer John Rusnak

John Rusnak is a composer, pianist, keyboardist and music producer currently residing in Los Angeles. He is the CEO of Visionmark Records. His solo work is featured in motion pictures and television, and he is much in demand as a studio recording musician. He has recorded on soundtracks for MGM, Sony, CW Network, Showtime, Rysher Entertainment, PBS, Hollywood Pictures, Warner Brothers and many others. He recorded the piano music, solos, and cues with strings for a newly released 2022 film: “Unity Temple: Frank Lloyd Wright’s Modern Masterpiece”, a documentary directed by Lauren Levine, and narrated by Brad Pitt. John recorded piano solo tracks for the 2021 PBS American Experience Special "Citizen Hearst". 

As a composer, he released an album in 2020, "Blue", featuring his original film music. He composed the score for the award winning film "Sin Fronteras", which premiered at Laemmle Theaters in 2019. He recorded Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata for the Emmy Nominated American Experience PBS film "Chasing the Moon", which aired worldwide in 2019. He recorded solo piano, for the critically acclaimed, controversial black ops/FBI movie “Unthinkable”, starring Samuel L. Jackson.

Recognized as a solo pianist, his CDs of the Chopin Etudes, and the Bach Goldberg Variations on Visionmark Records, have become staples of the classical music genre and garnered international acclaim. Both albums were featured on the CW smash hit TV show “Smallville”. He performs with the Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra, and is also active as a soloist, recording studio session musician and chamber musician. 

A musician who jumps every style of music with ease, he has worked with top industry vocalists as a pop songwriter and as a piano accompanist, including: Siedah Garrett, Vittorio Grigolo, Emma Hunton, Delta Goodrem, Hayley Westenra, Lauren Frost, Tenor Paul Sorvino, Annie Bosko, and many others.
