"the only memories that won't grow bitter are ones you make alone" is a phrase I came up with to cope with some tragic things in my life. It is a phrase that comforts me in a bittersweet way, when I'm reminded that nobody in the world is capable of picking up my mess for me, and that shouldn't be anyone's responsibility. I was going through a time when nothing could keep me from spiraling and falling apart besides repeating this one phrase to remind myself of the harsh reality that there really is nobody I can depend on but my own strength. The more I wait for someone to come along and save me, the deeper I will drown in this state. It's a cruel slap in the face, reminding you that you can only change what is in your control, and you shouldn't plant your roots in places that aren't in your control or else you will lose your foundation. 

I realized this phrase would be the perfect ending to a song I've been working on for the past 5 years, titled "Honeycomb Tea." It will be the 3rd track in my upcoming ReversalRain Album, "Nectar and Thorns." I am always afraid of showing my song ideas before my songs themselves are officially released, because I always am afraid someone will steal the idea, but at least if I have this preview out, it is proof that it is mine.
